Penn State tweets of the day

We start with a new walk-on commitment. Mountain Brook, Ala., 6-foot-8, 275-pound offensive tackle Henry Boehme will play next for the Nittany Lions. He announced his decision to walk on Monday night. The Class of 2023 recruit visited campus this past weekend.

“It didn’t take long for me to see the culture at Penn State and how great it was,” Boehme told BWI. “It is an extremely hard working group that cares about each others’ success.

“It’s an opportunity to grow as a player and a person. You can be surrounded by the best, which will only make you better.”

He also liked offensive line coach Phil Trautwein.

“Coach Trautwein really made an effort to develop a relationship with me and talked me in to coming up,” Boehme told BWI. “Coach Franklin was also great in the process. He is big on telling you what you will get over what you want to hear.”

In other news, the New England Patriots have officially signed Mike Gesicki. The tight end is staying in the AFC East by leaving the Miami Dolphins, who drafted him, to join the Patriots and reunite with Bill O’Brien, who is again the team’s offensive coordinator.
