Tennessee was no-hit by Luke Holman through the first 5.1 innings of the ballgame before rallying for two in the frame to pull ahead and hold on for the 3-1 victory over LSU in game two of the Southeastern Conference series from Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

The Vols (29-6, 9-5 SEC) plated three runs off five hits – most notably the two-run single from Dylan Dreiling in the sixth inning. The Tigers (22-14, 3-11 SEC) scored on an unearned run in the second inning but couldn’t muster any more offense despite logging nine hits in the ballgame.

Drew Beam (5-1) earned the hard-fought victory on the hill, tossing a season-high 106 pitches (67 strikes) where he allowed just one unearned run despite giving up eight hits with five strikeouts and three walks. Holman (6-2) is charged with the loss after allowing the two runs in the sixth inning on two hits with four strikeouts to three walks over 91 pitches (57 strikes).

Tennessee has now won four-series in-a-row and will look for its first sweep in conference play Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock eastern time. Bit first, here’s how it all went down for the Big Orange.
