Four-star point guard Aaron Rowe, a top target for Tennessee basketball in the 2025 recruiting class, is planning a visit to see the Vols, he told On3’s Jamie Shaw. Rowe is the No. 18 overall player in the On3 Industry Ranking.

“I’m planning to take an official visit at some point with Tennessee and Kansas State,” Rowe told Shaw. “None of the other schools have really brought up visits yet.”

The 6-foot-1, 165-pound Rowe, out of Columbia, Missouri, currently attends Link Academy in Branson, Missouri, the same prep basketball powerhouse that produced current Tennessee freshman Cameron Carr and Cade Phillips.

“One of the coaches there, Rod Clark, used to coach with MoKan,” Rowe told Shaw of his interest in Tennessee. “We’ve been pretty close, and we talk a lot. They’re honest with me and tell me the areas I need to improve. They text me after every game.”

“I like the way they play like Zakai Zeigler and Kennedy Chandler. I feel like they play like I do. So I think Tennessee has a play style that I could fit in well with.”

‘I want to play for a coach that I trust and where coaches feel like family’

Rowe is ranked as the No. 3 point guard in the 2025 recruiting cycle and is the No. 2 overall player in the state of Missouri. Along with Kansas State, Rowe told Shaw he’s also hearing from Arizona and Texas as his recruitment continues.

“I’m going to be looking for a school that fits my playstyle,” Rowe told Shaw. “I like playing in the open court, with a lot of screens. Playing in space where I am able to create for my teammates and myself.

“I want to go somewhere I think can get me to the next level and takes my game to the next level. I want to play for a coach that I trust and where the coaches feel like family.”

Other 2025 prospects Tennessee will be trying to get on campus for visits this fall include five-star Atlanta power forward Caleb Wilson (No. 5 overall), four-star Houston small forward Sebastian Williams-Adams (No. 45 overall), four-star Houston power forward John Clark (No. 70 overall), four-star Nebraska power forward A’mare Bynum (No. 78 overall) and three-star shooting guard Amari Evans (No. 117 overall).

On3 Scouting — Aaron Rowe

“Aaron Rowe plays on the ball and with a lot of confidence. He has a great frame with good length. He needs to put on strength. Has great touch in the midrange and gets to his spots off the bounce with no issues. Likes the elbows. He needs to continue developing his reads as a primary initiator. Does not get turned with full-court pressure defense.”
