The 6-foot-4.5 shooting guard/wing made an official visit to Texas on Wednesday, and committed to Rodney Terry and staff.
Horton cancelled a previously scheduled visit to Kansas.
The Garden State native becomes the fifth and final guard for the Longhorns. Horton’s off ball shooting and scoring ability, along with his 102 games of college experience, is an ideal blend with point guard Tyrese Hunter and combo guard Max Abmas.
Hunter and Abmas will be ball in hand guards with Horton excelling off the ball. UT-Arlington transfer Chendall Weaver and 4-star freshman combo guard Chris Johnson are expected to provide energy, athleticism and playmaking off the bench in year one.
