Keilan Robinson picked in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars

Texas running back Keilan Robinson was selected with the No. 167 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Robinson is the eighth Longhorn picked in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Robinson rushed for 542 yards and six touchdowns in his Texas career. He also hauled in 35 passes for 332 yards and three touchdowns. In addition, Robinson had one kick return for a touchdown and one blocked punt returned for a touchdown.

Robinson started his career at Alabama, rushing for 254 yards and two touchdowns. He sat out the 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic before transferring to Texas.

With the Longhorns, Robinson rushed for 322 yards and three touchdowns in 2021. His usage diminished on standard downs in 2022, as he had 25 carries for 86 yards and 20 catches for 219 yards and three touchdowns.

In 2023, he became an impact special teams player. As Texas’ primary kick returner, Robinson brought back a 95-yard touchdown against Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship game. He rushed 12 times for 134 yards and three touchdowns as well.

Robinson averaged 22.5 yards per return in 2023 after he posted 16 returns for 403 yards in 2022, good for a 25.2 yards per return average.
