The Longhorns (21-6, 10-4) play host to No. 23 Iowa State tonight to begin the week with a trip to No. 9 Baylor looming Saturday. For the Longhorns, a win tonight is paramount to stay in the Big 12 race against now heavy favorite Kansas, and to stay in the conversation for a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The Cyclones (17-9, 8-6) are coming off a 61-55 loss at Kansas State Saturday after beating TCU in Ames early last week.

This begins a final Big 12 game stretch against four teams that will be in the NCAA Tournament field – Iowa State, at Baylor, at TCU and Kansas.

Interim head coach Rodney Terry has coached the Longhorns to a 14-5 record, including three wins over ranked opponents. Texas is 10-1 at The Moody Center under Terry, including 6-1 in Big 12 play.
