The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder flipped from the Gophers to the Longhorns. He was briefly committed to West Virginia as well. But it was his relationship with Texas RB coach Chad Scott that clinched it.
The Horns need two tailbacks in the 2026 class, with Derrek Cooper in the boat.
“I know I’m a physical runner and I think it would be a good fit for some of the things (Texas) does up front,” Walker told IT.
He’s tallied over 5,100 yards and 70 touchdowns over his career. Last season, he netted 2,351 yards and 37 touchdowns on 217 carries.
