The countdown to kickoff is on. Inside Texas will take a look at every player on the roster ahead of the season opener versus Ohio State on August 30, checking in on every Longhorn grouped by jersey number. Up next is Nos. 76-60.

No. 76 – Jackson Christian, OL

A member of the 2025 class that enrolled early, Christian has a future on the interior of the offensive line and could end up competing with the likes of Daniel Cruz down the road at the center position. He could make some appearances on special teams as he is listed at 6-foot-5, 318 pounds, but that would be the extent of his in-game potential in 2025. Scout teamer.

No. 75 – Jaydon Chatman, OL

Not much discussion has followed Chatman even with multiple opportunities opening up on the offensive line with the departure of four starters. He will try to earn a spot in the starting lineup but if he can’t achieve that, a place within Kyle Flood‘s circle of trust seems likely. Chatman also has a number of reps as a jumbo tight end or fullback, and he could reprise that role in 2025 as the Longhorns look for some tight red zone solutions.

No. 74 – Trevor Goosby, OL

Though one franchise LT in Kelvin Banks has moved onto the NFL, the next franchise might just be wearing No. 74 in burnt orange. Goosby stood in more than admirably for both Banks and Cameron Williams in late-season contests against some of the best defensive players in the nation. Expectations for Goosby as he becomes Arch Manning‘s blindside protector are high, but reports from spring drills and the offseason have Longhorn fans confident there will be a minimal step back at the left tackle position.

No. 73 – Brandon Baker, OL

Every player contending for a starting spot on the 2025 O-line is a third- or fourth-year player except for Baker. But despite his youth, he carries a five-star pedigree out of Mater Dei in California. When helmets come on closer to the season, expect Baker to be the first man out at right tackle. The job is by no means his as he’ll have to hold off challenges from Andre Cojoe and Nick Brooks.

No. 72 – Neto Umeozulu, OL

Here’s an in-depth look at Umeozulu as he attempts to succeed Hayden Conner at left guard. He has some aspects of his game to work on, which has made it difficult to write his name into the starting lineup in pen. But he enters the summer as the frontrunner at the position.

No. 71 – Nick Brooks, OL

Brooks had a standout first few practices as a Longhorn and showed he would not look out of place on the field if he were thrust into action in year one. Though he did make an off-the-field mistake, Brooks has kept his nose clean since then and was seen supporting Ryan Wingo for his recent NIL camp in St. Louis. Expect to see Brooks on special teams and possibly find his way to the field if players ahead of him go down.

No. 70 – Nate Kibble, OL

Kibble is an interior lineman all the way, and was one of the players often praised for scout team work in 2024. With a number of experienced players ahead of him, it may be hard for Kibble to crack the starting lineup but good progress for the second-year player would be entering Flood’s circle of trust.

No. 69 – Not yet issued

No. 68 – Brooks Kieschnick Jr., OL

The son of Longhorn baseball legend Brooks Kieschnick, the Alamo Heights product makes his contributions on the scout team.

No. 67 – Not yet issued
No. 66 – Not yet issued
No. 65 – Not yet issued

No. 64 – Robert Sweeney, OL

Sweeney makes his contributions on the scout team as well. Neither he nor Kieschnick Jr. have seen action in their careers.

No. 63 – Not yet issued

No. 62 – Connor Robertson, OL

The center position appears as if it’ll be passed from Jake Majors to Cole Hutson, but a strong camp from Robertson could change the decision calculus. A much different player than when he struggled versus Oklahoma in 2023, Robertson’ progress could allow for Flood to mix and match on the interior ahead of the 2025 season. Even if Robertson doesn’t make the starting five, it’s hard to see him outside of Flood’s top 6-8.

No. 62 – Rick McBroom

McBroom makes his contributions on the scout team, but if a disaster took place at center he could be someone Flood looked to for assistance

No. 61 – Not yet issued

Not. 60 – Retired for Tommy Nobis

As Texas football gained national prominence and won its first national championship in the early 1960s, Nobis was one of the faces of the program. The 1965 Maxwell Award winner and Outland Trophy winner, the two-time All-American saw his No. 60 retired by the program in 2008. No. 60 became the jersey number associated with defensive excellence for the Texas Longhorns prior to its enshrinement. However, it is the only retired number to have been re-issued for special occasions, most recently as 2018.
