Texas Longhorns freshman participation tracker after week one versus Ohio State

The Texas Longhorns’ signed On3 | Rivals’ No. 1 recruiting class in 2025, with five-star prospects Jonah Williams, Justus Terry, Lance Jackson, Kaliq Lockett, and Kade Phillips joining Steve Sarkisian‘s program. Twenty-five prospects became Longhorns, with sights set on helping Texas achieve its national title aspirations.

Sarkisian mentioned last week that every one of those freshmen would travel to Columbus, but only a few of them played. Here’s a look at each freshman’s performance.

Jaime Ffrench, WR

Ffrench did not play against Ohio State. He was the No. 59 overall prospect in the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Kaliq Lockett, WR

Lockett did not play against Ohio State. He was the No. 20 overall prospect in the Rivals Industry Ranking.

KJ Lacey, QB

Lacey did not play against Ohio State. He was the No. 237 overall prospect in the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Jonah Williams, DB

Williams did not play against Ohio State. He was the No. 9 overall prospect in the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Kade Phillips, DB

Phillips did not play against Ohio State. He was the No. 29 overall prospect in the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Michael Terry III, WR

James Simon, RB
