Texas Makes First RB Offer Under Jabbar Juluke
Texas has extended an offer to one of the hottest names in the 2027 class, DeSoto running back SaRod Baker, following a jaw-dropping postseason stretch that has turned heads across the state.
Baker has been nothing short of dominant during the playoffs, piling up 1,503 rushing yards and 19 total touchdowns over his last five games. His combination of power, physicality, and competitive edge has made him the engine of DeSoto’s offense throughout the postseason.

The combination of power, burst, agility, and speed has made Baker nearly impossible to slow down during this playoff run. Defenses have thrown everything at him, and it hasn’t mattered. Now, he has a chance to cap off a historic postseason with a state championship on Saturday.
The offer also carries added significance, as it marks the first running back offer by new Texas running backs coach Jabbar Juluke since arriving in Austin.
