Eleven players from the Texas Longhorns football program — Byron Murphy, Xavier Worthy, T’Vondre Sweat, Jonathon Brooks, Adonai Mitchell, Christian Jones, Jaylan Ford, Ryan Watts, Keilan Robinson, Ja’Tavion Sanders, and Jordan Whittington — were selected in the 2024 NFL Draft. That’s the most selections in a single draft since 17 were picked in 1984.

Not every draft eligible Longhorn was picked. Punter Ryan Sanborn, a transfer from Stanford who spent his season of eligibility afforded by the NCAA due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was picked up as an undrafted free agent by the Atlanta Falcons. Sanborn was ranked as the No. 1509 overall prospect, the No. 2 punter, and the No. 144 player in California according to the 2019 On3 Industry Ranking.

Outside linebacker Jett Bush, a walk-on who earned a scholarship and produced double-digit tackles in four of his five seasons, signed with the New England Patriots. The former walk-on was ranked as the No. 2725 overall prospect, the No.328 linebacker, and the No. 402 prospect in Texas according to the 2019 On3 Industry Ranking.
