Inside the Trojans' Huddle: USC - Louisville Holiday Bowl preview

Pregame      

In Tuesday’s edition of Inside the Trojans Huddle, panelists Marc Kulkin, Erik McKinney, Chris Arledge, and Greg Katz analyze and discuss Wednesday’s USC-Louisville Holiday Bowl, analysis and assess last week’s early signing period, a brand new Big Ten Lightning Round, viewers’ questions and panel answers, and more.

First Quarter

In the first quarter of the Huddle, the panel gives their assessment of the two teams and what they expect to see and what they want to see – both positive and negative.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter of the Huddle, the panel puts perspective and analysis into this past week’s early December signing period. The panel answers whether they think the early signing period of recruits was a success or failure and the class of 2024 strengths and weaknesses.

Halftime

USC has many bowl memories in its history. Each panelist gives their most memorable USC bowl game – win or lose.

Third Quarter

In the third quarter, the panel gives their rapid responses to the Big Ten Lightning Round of questions. Among the topics for the lightning round include Miller Moss and Jack Plummer’s passing yardage against the opposition defense, USC’s and Louisville’s team rushing totals against the other’s defense, sack totals for each club, touchdowns scored by Zachariah Branch, penalty yardage, Holiday Bowl attendance numbers,    

The Big Ten bonus question? The panel answers the question: My main holiday season dislike is (fill in the blank).

Fourth Quarter

Following the lighting of the WeAreSC symbolic Coliseum torch between the third and fourth quarters of the Huddle, the panel leads in the viewers’ questions and panel answers section of the video podcast. Questions asked pertained to NCAA changes in the recruiting calendar, positions of critical need for competition in the Big Ten, unsigned players for the class of 2024, Holiday Bowl point spread and panel attendance in San Diego, Lincoln Riley, defensive accountability, changing of recruiting and transfer philosophy, NIL, the future of the program under Lincoln Riley.  

Overtime

The panel predicts the scores of the remaining Pac-12 teams in bowl games, which include the Holiday Bowl, Alamo Bowl, Sun Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Sugar Bowl, and a bonus Rose Bowl prediction.
