Three-star athlete Daune Morris is the latest prospect to join the spring rush into the 2025 USC recruiting class. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound prospect can play in the slot, out wide and as a Wildcat quarterback, but much of his production comes as a running back. And that’s the position he’ll begin his USC career.

It’s another recruiting win for new USC running backs coach Anthony Jones Jr., who developed a connection with Morris while he was coaching at TCU.

Morris is a playmaker wherever he lines up. He was a Tennessee Titans Class 6A Mr. Football finalist as a junior, rushing for 2,012 yards, adding 565 receiving yards and scoring 36 total touchdowns.

Morris is regarded as a three-star prospect, the No. 495 overall recruit and No. 27 athlete in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings. But he drew significant recruiting attention from some power programs and cut his final 10 list down to Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M and USC before selecting the Trojans.

USC needed to add multiple running backs in the 2025 class. The Trojans are working through spring ball with just four backs and will lose veteran transfer Woody Marks following this season. Jones previously landed commitments from three-star running back Riley Wormley and three-star back Harry Dalton. It’ll be interesting to watch those rankings as the running backs work through their senior seasons.
