Indiana DL transfer Philip Blidi talks Washington, updates visit schedule

Indiana transfer defensive lineman Philip Blidi has altered his visit schedule, he tells On3.
The 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive lineman is slated to arrive on a visit to LSU on Wednesday. He’s also called off his Arizona visit that was scheduled for this upcoming weekend. Blidi still plans to visit Oklahoma from April 19 to 21, the weekend of the Sooners’ spring game.
The grad transfer spent last weekend at Washington, getting to know Jedd Fisch and staff. He was also able to meet former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
“This weekend was everything I expected to be and more,” Blidi told On3. “There is a great opportunity to develop and play in a successful NFL scheme there.”
Washington has been pushing to add depth on the defensive line. In 12 games with 11 starts this past season, Blidi tallied 30 tackles, four tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries and a pass breakup. He also previously played at Texas Tech. During his time with the Red Raiders, he posted 39 tackles, six tackles for a loss and two sacks.

Texas A&M and Auburn continue to push for visits. Finding a place where he can contribute immediately and have a chance to contend for a national championship is key wherever he lands.
TCU, Baylor, Cal and Missouri have also been in contact but nothing has been scheduled.
“At the end of the day, I want to win a championship,” Philip Blidi recently told On3’s Billy Embody. “Want to win a natty, I want to win a conference championship. There are not a lot of schools that you can go and do that at, and there are a select few schools that are going to do that this year. LSU’s one of those schools.”
