And amidst all that horseshaat, UNC was pushing its players thru phantom classes, for at least 23 years, beginning under Dean Smith's tenure. But that's to be forgotten, lost to history. At least in this new era of NIL, the hypocrisy is gone. Monied teams will buy the best talent, in BB and FB.

Footnote: RU's Jimmy V was run out of coaching at NC State by the ACC and NCAA for the high crimes of players selling their free tickets and footwear.

Of course they have not won a championship in ages, but overall I would say the conference as a whole (top to bottom) is weaker than normal this year.
Yes and NIL player movement has a lot to do with that.

Interesting Baby Rice is VCUs associate head coach. Im sure his being named in lawsuit involving Rutgers would preclude Martelli Jr from bringing his brother along

St Marys is a fraud...a metric manipulation. Shouldnt have been a 7. Lets see what happens without Gonzaga in the WCC to beef up their metrics. Going to really need to schedule strong

The BYU injury definitely at play tonight in a disappointing effort

I know everyone likes to complain about RU's inability to inbound the ball, but it's a common occurrence around the country. I've must've watched several teams turn the ball over at least a dozen times today by not successfully getting the ball inbounds.

A little too late for BYU

That play in 11 is always a sneaky in the next round

Rutgers was actually pretty good at inbounding this year. They can teach these tourney teams a thing or two.

I was about to jump on here about st Mary’s

I respect what Randy Bennett has done but I feel as though every year I see saint marys get absolutely out classed by whomever knocks them out which is always round 1 or 2

Watching the tourney every year, you realize how cruel it can be. Top 25 all year, first overall pick, and after day one you’re home on the couch with everyone else. Same for Wisconsin, etc. makes you realize you just need to keep making the tourney because any one season is a crapshoot. VCU made the final four run and then didn’t win another tourney game until today. The only way to be sure you make a run is to keep getting in.
