Man Hobbs is the gift that keeps on giving. Handing out long extensions to coaches was his calling card. Coaches are usually extended because you’re worried about other schools poaching. CVS (once contract extended she never st foot on campus again) Schiano (extended without warrant) Goodale (contract through ‘32? Seriously) I’m sure there’s more but man. If he didn’t get caught banging the gymnastics coach we would still be saddled with that moron. And even further behind in theNIL landscape.
That was a serious head scratcher. I would never in a million years guess that the gymnastics head coach was letting that dopey looking, goofball Hobbs, play stinky finger with her. Wasn't she married to some NFL football player? That dude's face could stop a clock. Either 3 things...1) He had one hanging down to his toes 2) Could lick his eyebrows or 3)Was duking her money to poke her muffin.
#28 overall 4th at his weight . Dean Peterson was #25th overall #2 at his weight behind the kid that upset Joey Thursday night. Grand total of 0 AAs from the duo
Hobbs handed out extensions and raises like Halloween candy. Holding the AD back from making legitimate evaluations of the coaches in all sports.
The Suriano thing is completely baseless though. You can’t just say that to discredit the fact that he won here. Counter argument is “Soldano, Olivieri, etc. would have failed wherever they went.” Theres no proof and there’s no way to verify that.
Again, I get the overall point but if we’re going to make that point at least be fair about it.

Yeah, and Soldano, Peterson, Aragona, etc transferred out and still came up short.
We need to do a better job getting high end recruits. Knox will help that, and I’m confident that he’s an AA immediately next year and an eventual champ.
I’m not against kicking the tires on Burroughs. He turns Rutgers into a perennial top 5 team annually, though I’d imagine his success would lead to some blue bloods like Iowa going hard after him.

Rutgers community doesn't owe any coach a job but any Coach employed is accountable to the community for certain standards of performance.
Its not about funding. Teams with less finished ahead of Rutgers this weekend

And to futher elaborate.Rutgers is a state funded university, so part of NJ residents taxes go funding the school.That includes coaches.

Im not calling for any job but disagree strongly with ideas we must avoid speaking about systemic weaknesses in program because it might affect job security, or even worse, that the fan base is responsible for poor performances.

141 was boring. Vega knocks off 2x champ Mendez. Never shoots, takes no risks, and just counters. I hate his style but he's a champ.
Ugh, that stings a little. They got National Coach of the year we got Coach Plateau.
149 was phenomenal. Both guys let it fly, tremendous effort, and left it all out there with constant attacks and good counters. Valencia was the aggressor. Hats off to both guys. Every match should be like that instead of the scared feeling out and cautious wrestling. Ayers is doing a heck of job at Stanford. Wish SVN came here.
Sanderson is wasting Van Ness's talent.
