As much as we suffered last season and eventually hated watching the games, we have now done a 180!

Win or lose the rest of the season we are again proud of our Pirates. Holloway molded a bunch of young men to honor the front of the uniform and not the back.

Idk if I’ve ever been happier to see us ranked. Sports - like anything else - is something you can connect with, you live with, and we have been through it man. I didn’t know when or if we’d be back in the NIL Era.

And this sums up why:

well last 3 games i sorta hated watching lol. takes a lot of years of your life.

but yes, RANKED after last season by january is the best case scenario we ever could have dreamed for. big credit to coach for the bold roster moves that are clearly panning out . we'll see if a whole season can be sustained, because it looks like we need some tweaks on the offensive side

From the basement in Walsh (my high school had better BB facilities), to the new $55M Basketball Performance Center.

From $1.5M NIL to $6.0M+ NIL.

From Kenpom #204 to AP #25.

As Tony Bozzella once said, why not Seton Hall?

Also for all the criticism last year on how the team was put together, whatever they did this year has worked wonders. That’s not only money it’s player evaluation both on and off court.

There was a lot floated about malcontents last year and turning out to be quite a different story now.

Just wild! Plenty of room for improvement but the defense has been elite.
Hope they keep it going.

The key to the season like it is in most years is how well you do in the nail biters. Especially with a defensive team that will not blow out many opponents.

His newspaper did, so he did. It had nothing to do with Jerry.

Not our offense in last 10 minutes of games

And our defense is always there the entire game.

I get the concerns and understand them, but some are overstated because of our performance against Nova. Hopefully, we improve.

However, we should also realize we are winning conference games, including 3 on the road with 2 of our starters in a prolonged offensive slump. Not many teams could keep winning with that scenario.

This is really good point. Last year, Sha did not have money and put it on guys with potential. This year, with more money, he put it on guys that fit his style and were productive.

Cignetti said he is in the portal looking for productivity and not potential. I can tell you as a Dolphin fan (probably the most inept franchise sans Jets), they have wasted so many draft picks on guys with potential that never materialize.

Anyway, great job so far by Sha. Nonetheless, we have a lot of games left. Love the D and effort so far this year. Let's just start making a few more threes.

Interesting tidbit. This is the first poll since January 14, 1991 that includes Seton Hall, but not Kansas. Seton Hall also debuted at #25 in that poll and would go on to make the Elite Eight. Kansas would debut in the rankings two weeks later and go on to make the national championship game.

The only other times in history where Seton Hall appeared in a poll but not Kansas were the final seven weeks of the 1989 season, one week in the 1954-55 season, and three weeks in the 1952-53 season.

There is a NJ voter …. Kyle Franko from the Trentonian. Seton Hall was the only Top 25 team he did not vote for, then again SHU was the last team ranked. 🤷‍♂️
