They do, unfortunately Hines didn’t make cut.Do they have an all-conference freshman team?

It’s Lewis or Nigel James. Mullin may be 5th lolLewis or Mullin for ROY? IMO, Mullin might be better, but Lewis had a better yr.
I think that one is on Shaheen. They do, unfortunately Hines didn’t make cut.

2025-26 All-BIG EAST Teams Announced
St. John's Zuby Ejiofor was a unanimous first team selection as the conference has announced the All-BIG EAST First, Second and Third Teams, All-Freshman Team, and the inaugural All-Defensive Team. The league’s head coaches select the all-conference squads and were not permitted to select their...www.bigeast.com
Agreed. Lewis was to Villanova what Budd was to Seton Hall this year, and more, with all if it happening at a higher level. He’s really good. I think it’s one reason VU was such a bad matchup for us this year — Lewis neutralizes Budd.Lewis or Mullin for ROY? IMO, Mullin might be better, but Lewis had a better yr.
He should’ve been. He’s better than Clark & Lewis combined. This can't be true, @joeyklings told us Finley Bizjack was 1st Team All-BE.
LOL!He should’ve been. He’s better than Clark & Lewis combined.
His point is that some of the guys at the top of the "main" statistical categories play on teams where those stats are more inflated than they would be if said player was on a better team. A "Ricky Davis" situation. If you are on a team that is limited offensively, or constantly trailing because it plays no defense, a good player is going to have more options to generate certain statistics. Or if certain teams just don't have as many possible contributors. This year that dynamic was probably more so because of the league's imbalance and "stable" of mediocre to decent teams. Whereas for the top 2 teams in the league, they had balance and depth in certain areas that necessarily suppressed certain statistics (ie, Uconn players when it comes to scoring, or SJU's front court when it comes to rebounding and/or scoring). Plus there is the individual defensive component too.@SPK145 they obviously credit team success over individual success.
Absolutely. These 2 guys were past winners of Big East Player of the Year with less than stellar stat lines. I think I’ll defer to the BE coaches to make these decisions. They don’t agree with you.I guess you don’t check numbers

I think it has always been a combination of both. Aquaman made first team because I think every BE coach firmly believes he would be an excellent scoring option at this level for most programs in the country, and certainly in the Big East.Or they defer to team success over individual success
No qualms with these Nice for them to honor Dix with all he's been through. Zuby would have probably won the award last year if not for Kalkbrenner's dominance. Thought the coaches might give the 6th Man Award to Darling on SJU given the impact he's provided that group coming mostly off the bench, but Askew has been a weapon for Nova in that role with his shooting ability and averages a few more per game.2026 BIG EAST Individual Awards

Yeah, but we finished 4th in the league. That matters.Agreed. Lewis was to Villanova what Budd was to Seton Hall this year, and more, with all if it happening at a higher level. He’s really good. I think it’s one reason VU was such a bad matchup for us this year — Lewis neutralizes Budd.
