I am very anxious to read replies on this. I have purposely not responded yet as I do not want to sway opinions.

Calindrillo. 1987 points in 21 fewer games and no 3 point line. Both were great. Powell may have been tougher with his fearless drives to the rim where he was absolutely clobbered.

Myles had some unbelievable games where he was a one man wrecking crew. Danny more consistent and IMO raised his teammates play.

If you have a great four player starting team Danny is the choice

I think Danny's the choice as well, but its a stretch to say he raised his team's play. Go check those records... :D

This is an interesting head-to-head. Again, I only know Callandrillo through legend and the statistics I can read, but knowing what I know, man, I'm sorry I never saw him play. I'm also sorry he didn't get to play on better Seton Hall teams -- even what, five or six years after he ran out of eligibility? That's a shame.

The other guy was terrific, too, and so much fun to watch. His range was anywhere in the gym and he played hard. This is a tough call, but I guess I take Callandrillo here, although I wouldn't be too upset about having to take the other guy.

I go back to my litmus test. Give Danny and Myles the same high quality starting team and Danny is the choice. Myles was a one man wrecking crew, but I don’t recall him being a great assist guy and his defense was not good.

Calandrillo, but only by šŸ¤.

Both were offensive machines, but Danny C could play defense and SHU fans know that Willard had to hide Powell on that end of the court.

Basketball wise both were great players and fun to watch. Powell could light it up from anywhere, at any time. Danny played better D by far and did not have the 3 point line. That being said, Ill go with Danny C.

Additionally, character has to come into play here. Knowing what we know about Powell's lawsuit, that makes the choice even easier.

Actually they were a pretty good team his senior year...until hit by "academic ineligibility to 3 starters. And that....was that.

This is a tough one...Myles gave us so many thrills it is hard to top...but Danny had the 3 buzzer beaters in a row, including Phi Slamma Jamma...and was as electric, if not more so, than Myles.

So, I am going with Danny, again!

Look who they had and look who they were playing against. He was a lot of things, but not a miracle worker.

Yes, the team had more talent until the ineligibility. Yes, the team was left bereft of talent after... but its still a silly statement to say Danny raised his team's play. His BE teams were 1-5, 4-10 and 2-12. It's a bad statement.

And bc his teams were this bad, it should actually highlight his accomplishments. There wasn't a whole lot else to worry about and he still did what he did. Stud.
