Listened to Richard Neer filling in as morning show host today on WFAN and for his last two hours was joined by Keith Hernandez. It was the most enjoyable couple of hours of sports talk I've heard in ages. The Keith segments were almost exclusively questions from fans. His answers were informative and entertaining. Interspersed was a segment where they were joined by Rick Cerrone (not SHU alum and former catcher) who is long-time editor of Baseball Digest.

If you're an older baseball fan you couldn't ask for a more pleasant couple of hours. The Audacy app has replay of the show available for anyone interested.

I am a life-long Yankee fan, but I often watch the Mets just to hear the commentary and banter of Keith, Ronnie, and Gary.

Keith will be missed, so will the fundies and the rib eye steaks. That trio is the best for me in my lifetime
