I wonder why the jersey doesn't have the Big East logo on the right shoulder. It has the American flag (for whatever reason our program features this) on the other shoulder, so if they're going for some semblance of authenticity, this is a miss.

I'd suspect the simple reason is the manufacturer didn't license the BE logo.

Who wants to buy a jersey under NIL, especially when the player(s) only loyalty is to the $$$ and not earning a diploma?
Only positive with NIL - an individual’s pre NIL career school record (scoring, rebounding etc) is now set in stone.

One of the best ways to ensure a player returns is show him some love. You might disagree but what's the purpose of discouraging others who don't see it as you do make a purchase.

it's a catch 22. nobody wants to buy a jersey of someone who is off the team after a year. its the game they're playing. sign a multi year contract and that would be different

Yeah, why? It just seems odd and unnecessary and even out of place. I understood it in 1991 (when it caused an issue with a player) and 2001, but really, what is the point today? The Big East logo makes sense; our program represents that entity as an official member. We don't represent the United States in any official capacity. Maybe we should put the Earth on the other shoulder, since we're also located there?

(This has nothing to do with the jersey being sold with Hines' name and number, which is designed to mimic the authentic jersey, the missing Big East logo notwithstanding.)
