I spoke to Grant today.

NJIT has a huge home game in the America East quarterfinals this Saturday at 4PM. He would love to see The Hall family in the house. I have been there for HS games and our exhibition two years ago.

The new facility is top notch. Not a bad seat in the arena. If any of our fans want to attend the game it would add to Grant's home court advantage.

Here is the link for tickets-

About ten days ago, I was beyond surprised to see they were in one pundit's bracket. Hadn't thought about NJIT since its near disastrous OOC schedule. At that point, thought this would be it for him. Glad to see they did so well in conference.

Just spoke with Grant this morning. He asked me to thank all the SHU fans that were in attendance. It meant a lot to him to see everyone there!

Grant will never say it but his heart is colored Pirate Blue. I've known him for a very long while and have never heard an ill word said about him by anyone.

If NJIT were to beat UVM and UMBC in the next two rounds it would be a bigger march madness feat than what Nolan Smith just did to win the OVC.

We all know how Gus is. He barely played for us yet was a fan favorite because of his antics on the floor. Now he's the best player in his Conference averaging 17 & 6 and he's making animated celebrations after every shot he makes or assist he makes. It's got to be infuriating for opponents and opposing fans but you love it if he's helping your team win.

I used to compare it to the Center from the movie Teen Wolf (dating myself). Funny, but I don't recall Carino once drawing attention to it or calling it out last year. Although we all did here multiple times. But now he is no longer on Seton Hall and going at the beloved Grant B., so there you go.

Funny, all I remember about Gus here is the crowd reacting like Kobe was going into the game when he got to play, and I never understood why.
