They were to America what the prince and princess of England are to the world. Flat out worshipped and that scene calling her to the breakfast meet she didn’t want to attend and getting the standing O had to be flattering.

I loved all the in color scenes just surreal.

I’ve been involved some whirlwind type days during my life but that trip on those 2 days, the bedlam that ensued, the flight back to DC swearing in LBJ and the next 2 days leading to the funeral and JFK Jr’s birthday would have been to floor me, but Jackie man! Shew that was a heady very strong woman to serve as a role model for those times.

Women these days have what? Kim K? Michelle?

Then of course there is always the conspiracy crowd I don’t subscribe to, but love to hear and I get it. It was too much to happen to believe some little dipshit idiot could pull it off like that.

Oswald was so lost in that jailhouse and no clue he was charged for murdering the president so I legit wish the rooms were recorded like they are today because what else were they talking about in those rooms?

He seemed to laid back to have just killed a cop without even considering he killed the president. And what was that press conference?

If anything the incompetent handling of the suspect should have been investigated. Goodness!

Seeing the scenes with his old neighbor who befriended Mrs Oswald was something. I’d love to know how the rest of her and her children’s lives went. Can’t imagine that was an easy life to live if they stayed here.

For those of you who are suckers for that type of JFK assassination content, you should check out the Living History series from the Sixth Floor Museum on Youtube.

They are long form Q&As with witnesses, including secret service, media, bystanders, etc. who were somehow involved with the events of that day. They included several of those interviewed for that new JFK documentary on NatGeo.

-Heard some positive vibes on Bradshaw, but to be taken with a huge grain of salt. This source has been wrong on occasion. However, he also added to the bad news on Ugo.

-We're not gonna have any for KU though, I assume. Nice excuse for Cal to use when we drop another early season game.

-Had a water bottle station installed at the office. Triple filtered and chilled. So dope.

-Speaking of work. Moving to business-ish(pushing it) style traveler pants and Wolf & Shephard sneaks. Please respect my decision. I'll play dress up on the quarterly occasion I have serious meeting.

-That Derby City Gambling place has to be a boon for The Galt House. It's unbelievable.

-Left my lunch at home. WhompWhomp.

-Can't get over how much I love the new Cawood's Court. It's perfection.

-Got the most vulnerable, by their standards, Bama squad in 15 years rolling into town and a new found offense finding it's stride. Let's shock the f*cking world Saturday.

Chad insults people like a bougie 50-something mom who had too many wine spritzers at lunch, imo. Settle down and get some lipo, little fella.

Can’t say I’ve ever met a 50-something bougie mom.

Rudd’s been asking for it. Can only take his **** for so long.

And Anth, I just hate.

Thursday rando:

  • Reading @pretzel__logic ’s romantic account/missive on her NYC travel experience almost had me reconsider my current jaded view of this place. Almost. Naked bum jerking off at the base of my building entry this morning at 7:45 quickly set me back straight.
  • Sorely miss my last office. Well, at least the coffee setup. Kegs of Nitro Rise cold brew at the ready had me tweaked every day at 3pm after my fourth round.
  • I still watch UK basketball games, but CANNOT listen to any Cal press conference. His juvenile speech cadence (wait, what?!?) and condescending tone still show me he cannot be humbled. Just a self-aggrandizing prick through and through. Let’s win #9 just to get rid of this douche already.
  • Seeing Stoops/Staff/Players interview for Bama week has me convinced we are beat already… way too much reverence for Saban and the Tide. Lynn Bowden would pregame ***** slap these dudes whilst current crew wants to suckle. Need more Bowden/Bossman/Vito Tis animals on this team.
  • Christmas Eve Dinner menu being crafted.

-Well that was a damn entertaining last 20 posts, 👏.

-We might not be southern southern, but I’ll be damned if someone calls me Midwestern. I’d rather be considered Appalachian than Midwestern. Those people are weird and think the whole world is Iowa.

-I abhor dressing in a suit and tie for anything and can’t understand why we still think talking about business needs to be done in that outfit. Some 4 way stretch Fabletics or your preferred brand of athletic business casual slacks and a polo is just fine.

Maybe KW caused this feeling but we did plenty of business and made a lot of money without ties and sports coats. Hell, lawyers go to court in shorts there.

My weed doctor, who is an actual doctor wore flops and a Hawaiian shirt.

-Speaking of weed doctors, that’s the mfing route to go if you’re a doctor. Talk to clients for 10-15 mins, prescribe weed for them for another 7 months and collect $200 times 40 patients a day. $8K 3-4 days a week would do just fine for me.

-Speaking of doctors, just left the dentist. They told me and showed me how great my teeth were (never had a cavity) and everything was perfect minus I clinch in my sleep which I have forever.

The dentist then goes on to tell me I should get and need a $2K “deep cleaning” where I’m anesthetized for a total of 3 hours in 2 separate cleanings.

Dropped a big ol FALSE on them and said I’ll schedule a regular cleaning thanks. $144 cleaning coming tomorrow.

I’ve run 3 businesses and bartended forever, I know what upselling is honey. Assistant comes in after hearing the convo and says just floss more and you’ll be fine, 👊.

We are definitely southern unless you are a Louisville person.

Every Dr I go to is willing to give me a medical card but I declined. So far. Doesn't help with works drug test policy as of now so I haven't bothered. My wife and her bestie go to Michigan. Way cheaper than Illinois not much further and no limits on what ya want. They give no Fuchs how much you buy. Just travel from store to store. Get up the next morning and do it again. They come back with an entire candy store it seems and all kinds of variations of flower and shake. Liquids. It's crazy to keep up with.

-Kentucky is an amalgamation of Southern, Midwestern and Appalachian. A true border state in the Civil war.

^we are our own thing... I've seen/heard folks compare us to Texas, that tracks.

-my mother was a Michigander and my dad is solid Appalachian.

-I do not understand the infatuation with being "southern" that some KY folk have... being southern is fine I guess but it's the "southern pride" bit that is odd...especially from a border state.

^congrats on getting your *** kicked in the civil war I guess.

Yeah IL blows. 5 hour drive to get like one oz and it’s not cheap and you can’t go back for a month.

I stick with gummies, pens (for travel) and flower. All that high concentrate shatter and whatnot is too much. I feel like a crackhead smoking weed with a torch and and everything that’s needed.

Plus, I don’t need/want to be THAT high. I just want a buzz before bed that knocks me out.

- Bama is always a Herculean effort but feel like the outcome of this game *may* have to do with where it falls on the schedule. They were slow starting out the year, figuring out who would be taking snaps, eeking by inept Arkansas and a defunct A&M, then Milroe got comfortable. He put up big dual threat numbers in the Bayou, so that's a bit concerning. Gonna need several turnovers by the Tide, flawless execution from Leary & Co. and some CWS magic circa 2007 to pull off the upset.

- Looking forward to getting back to Rupp tomorrow. Need the lads come out in the 1st half like they did in the 2nd. Don't be afraid to give more than a half-hearted press to push tempo. The times we did Monday it clicked. We have the horses to force the issue.

- @RibsAndWhiteBread gonna make an appearance at the Extrav? Curious to see which parent wins the gameday attire decision, or going with a house divided wardrobe?

- One of the many WFH benefits, if you care what you eat, is not having to meal prep the night/week before and avoiding bad dietary decisions.
