I'm just going to put anyone with a screen name I don't recognize on ignore. Too old for this nonsense.
Even those of us that use Bryant HVAC simply because we read this thread. 😉 Our first service call was guy with the same name as a very infamous president. Excellent service btw. Highly recommend.

Sadly, James passsed from cancer a few years ago. Fantastic tech and a better person.

Maybe I'll just ignore the ****** posters. I dunno. It's annoying af. I didn't know a lot of the folks on the old board that changed names years ago.

-This is Triangle. Set up for old name sucked and didn’t care for the name anyway. Transitioning to CO life gradually. Whatever.

-12 days out and super quiet. Two QBs mean no QB or nah? I like that tandem myself.

-Lotta time out west this summer. Kids enjoyed but oldest said she liked indoor rock climbing camp better than actual rock climbing at Glacier. Just wanted her buddies around I think.

-Kudos to the dads with children entering college, really doing anything like that milestone including kindergarten like Adam said.

The day my 9 year old got home from the hospital, a visiting family member said “just so you know, raising a child is all an exercise in letting go”. I was like wtf but it rings true. Little by little. Timing was awful though.

-Lex in 3 weeks for a wedding. Up again for Carolina game.

-Jennifer Connelly horse ride in Career Opportunities. Never gets old.

As I said in my first post on here, I’m a long time lurker of GYERO who created my account after the switch. Life long Kentuckian and a UK fan for 45 years. I might suck as a poster, but I’m not a troll and I have nothing to do with these crazy fly by accounts that have been posting.

Serious question…why did all those who had to create a new account due to whatever reasons, not just use your old handle with some numbers or such added to it ?

Worship Saratoga. the track is nestled into a bonafide guilded age masterpiece small city. The only majestic town left In USNY. The racing card is top notch.

Keeneland is better. By a hair.
Any must see's or do's around town? Restaurant/bar rec's? I'll need to hit up a cigar bar fo sho.

Rewatching the 2021 LSU game to get pumped up for football, and it's having the opposite effect. We had NFL players and star veterans all over the field, with Coen and Sumrall on the sidelines, still had mostly Schlarman's BBW out there as well. That team should've gone 11-1. It's insane how far and how quickly we've fallen, honestly. This team is all question marks. There's some potential here and there, but we need tons of dudes to take major leaps and portal additions to hit, in every position group. When you go back and look at what we had, recently, it's tough not to come away dejected.

When I'm out running and bored out of my mind because I don't like to listen to podcasts or music when I run now, I often rank what beverages I would choose if I were allowed to only have a set variety of beverages for the rest of my life. I don't know how many choices I will be limited to, so just a force ranked list (e.g., maybe I get all of them, maybe just 2).

I've tried, but I cannot come up with a first place choice other than regular water. But after that it gest interesting. Currently, I'm here:
  1. Water
  2. Coffee
  3. Pellegrino
  4. Any Higher end Cabernet (like Caymus)
  5. Spaten Lager
  6. Unsweetened Ice Tea
  7. Coca-Cola
  8. Elijah Craig 18 Year
  9. Strawberry Milkshake
  10. Apple Juice
I feel like you need to go with variety if you get all ten. I'm not saying I like Apple Juice better that a lot of other stuff, but I figure at some point I'm going to want a glass of juice. Likewise, if I have just 3 choices, I think I'm okay with no alcohol.

Franky, I struggle with the alcohol on the list. I originally put light beer on here, but I think a crisp lager would be a better long term choice. Thoughts?

Funny you should mention it, just the other day I said to myself, I wonder what UKO's top 5 staple drinks are.

I don't really drink much else other than some kombucha or adaptogen seltzers. I could drop those easily. I do really enjoy a Coke Classic but that's a few times per year.

-This is Triangle. Set up for old name sucked and didn’t care for the name anyway. Transitioning to CO life gradually. Whatever.
-Assuming you’re living in Telluride now, what do you do for work/leisure? CO is one of the places I would absolutely live, more sun than the sunshine state, which really takes away from the drab, depressing, monotony and inexorableness of winter in many states. Plus, of course outdoor activities in the cold

-Water
Milk
Coffee
Kombucha
Tea maybe?
That’s literally the only things I drink.

-Really turning the page on the long distance relationship. They aren’t for the weak or shaky relationships that’s for sure. We’ve really fallen into a good routine and learned to talk in the phone regularly. Visits are more comfortable and normal like when she lived 3 blocks away. For a while it felt like a strange weekend sleepover, packing everything and unpacking, setting up my bathroom supplies, both of us planning dinner together instead of autopilot meal prep were used to eating daily.

Also to the point where leaving is really tough and we’re wanting to extend the time. Gave me thoughts of Childers Long Hard Road this afternoon on the way home.

On the other hand, it will be interesting when we figure out where I want to work and/or get hired. We definitely want to be closer but then it would be relearning all the things about seeing each other daily. Tough in your 40s+ to want to change your routine, especially when both are staunch meal prepped and workout junkies that we prefer at the time to which we are accustomed.

-3 more interviews (at least 1 is 1 on 1 with a big city chief tomorrow) this week and one next, plus had a physical ability test (for a department I don’t even want to work at) with among many other things a blacked out maze course today which I’m too big for those daggum things. Being in full gear, on air, and moving through tight spaces following a hoseline is not made for people #220+, why do I have to go through the same maze as the 5’4” #160 dude before me? He’s obviously going to get chosen in that situation and for good reason. Just like I would be chosen for forced entry over him. But then again, he had to hit that Keiser sled as far as I did with a sledge, so I reckon fair is fair.

I need better cardio…

-agreed on the sourdough @creeksman

-Saucony black “sport” or something socks I bought last have been great and durable for the gym. Don’t really wear socks otherwise @CC_332

morning - basic ***, piping hot, black, drip coffee
reg - massive ice water a few hours old with softened ice
change of pace - half sweet tea, wedge of lemon, little umbrella
special treat - ice cold canned coca cola classic
booze - old fashioned, DGAS about the age, mashbill or rickhouse, just get the relative amounts of bitters and sugar right.
dessert - espresso/coffee milkshake

Sleepers is putting out some enjoyable off season content lately. I could watch Greg and Carter spend 20 minutes breaking down every single mundane summer tidbit and Mark Pope quote. They do, and I do.

8 y/o is taking the mound for the first time ever tonight. He's pumped and I'm nervous.

Redlegs are doing just enough to stay relevant. 1 game back for the WC. A better run differential than 5 current playoff teams.

I was skeptical of the pickup, but Ke'Bryan Hayes is absolutely incredible at 3rd. A wizard.

Wife has mastered sourdough and it's bad news for me. I can't say no to lightly toasted, freshly baked, buttered sourdough. Euphoric experience.

Longtime lurker since the Gillispie years under the same handle. Only posted a couple sets of randoms, been a year or two since the last. Hope anth ignores me.

- All you olds dropping kids off at college, we dropped off a 3 month old at daycare last week. We couldn't make it one week without a stomach bug coming home. Granted, I think my almost 2 year old brought it home, but still. Sh*t and puke everywhere in our house over the weekend and my wife just caught it overnight. Kids are gross.

- Watched highlights of the 2016 Louisville game after the talk on here. That sent me down a rabbit hole and I eventually watched last years Ole Miss highlights. Starting to feel the creeping feeling of excitement for UK football again. I'm choosing to enjoy it while I can before they ruin it.

- Finally decided to up my sock game. Tired of cheap socks getting holey after a few months. Feetures is treating me well so far, but open to recommendations.

Shorts:

- I can’t deal with these sports podcasters talking about their weekend or even worse- the worklife of being a sportswriter. Just get into the sports. That’s why I appreciate Russillo.

- You know who can get F’d? General Charles Cornwallis. Eat sh*t.

- I’ll NEVER watch that ridiculous Redeem Team documentary on Netflix- trying to pump up Coach K for winning with Kobe, LeBron, Chris Paul, Wade, etc. F right off.

- So apparently- and this is no lie- Chili’s is making a huge comeback. Sales up 31% over the last year. I occasionally get nostalgic about the simplicity of the draft beer and cheap appetizers of my youth at Chili’s, Applebees, etc. Back when just being able to drink anywhere in public was fun.

- UK Adam - hit me with some good music to listen to.

- Few things better or make me more proud of my lot in life than having multiple TVs showing sports on in my basement/den.

- I’ll never understand how Rashad Carruth’s linedrive threes went in at a 75% rate.

- Looked up Childers Riverbend pavilion tickets- $800. What the hell is going on with concerts post-Covid? Oh well - nothing will top seeing him in front of 100 people while drinking $3 Hudy Delights at Southgate Revival in 2018 anyway.

- Reading sports Instagram posts comment sections is essentially just a thousand fools saying “people forget- he was different.”

Sales skyrocketed with their “3 for me” promotion. $10.99 burger, fries, appetizer and soft drink. We go about every two to three weeks and also smash some chips and salsa.
