It looked like Hines may have sprained his ankle. If so, this could harm iur chances against St Johns.

Bud injured too.

What's up with Parker?

Sha said in postgame interview that he's worried about hines and clark.

Parker has a groin, but it was more about his wind because he hadn't practiced since the georgetown game due to the injury

We are locked into the 4/5 game in the BE, so Friday becomes irrelevant from that perspective. But I don't want to hear about injuries from Sha when you consider what we just benefited from some of these last few games with respect to the other team. If those guys are banged up, rest em and see if we can get to a Friday night and have some fun in the BE tourney.

Agree about the injuries But if Hines or Clark or both can’t go or are less than 100%, no one is going to feel sorry for us.

No one ever feels sorry for any opposing team that has to deal with injuries. Just like fan bases only appreciate when their guys are banged up or injured, but gloss over being fortunate when other teams are shorthanded and/or missing their best players.

Nor should they.

Injuries are part of the game and for the most part we have been lucky in that regard this year.

Very lucky and agree about no excuses.
However, Sha did not make any excuses. He answered the question from Popkin. Anyone can listen to the interview which I just summarized for the OP. Yet, now it becomes a no excuses about injuries thread.

Have we been lucky? Hines, Payne and Godswill have all been injured at some point and either missed games or played hurt. How many teams lose all 3 centers to injuries for a time during the course of the season?

In addition Felton and Suemnick were done for the season. Both were expected to be contributing.

There have been a bunch of others hurt who missed a game or so. Parker, McCray.

I may have missed some but this team has had its share of injuries, a ton of them and still somehow got to 20 wins. Kudos to Sha!

I don't think anyone is glossing over it, some people are trumpeting it to suggest that we would have lost the game last night. Carroll played in the first game when we waxed them.

Carroll’s minutes went to Ndiaye, Walker and All Wright, who all played very well. Not sure Carroll - as good as he is - would have improved upon their production. He certainly wouldn’t have replicated Ndiaye’s defensive impact.
We have all seen it. You game plan for a star, he is unavailable suddenly and the rest of the players are not relying on the star, playing loser and the ball pops.

No way that Euro goes off thebway he did if Carroll in game.

But X ran out of gas.

Everyone is hurting & worn down at this point in the season. It looked to me like Budd got a knee to his thigh. Hines turned his ankle. That's always a concern with someone that large.

Holloway will not release any information before three hours prior to the game when he has to release the injury report.

No coach would do differently.
