Locked a Thread

So today a thread was locked concerning the tragic Rob Reiner murder by his son and Trump’s inhumane response. There was respectful posts by posters. And then, the thread was locked.

Bad enough that LOTS was not allowed on the move to on3. Now we get threads locked. This site hasn’t been as active nor as good. Alienating more people is not the way to proceed.

The thread was locked by me because it turned political. I started it out of respect for the Reiner family. Others were responsible for it being locked!!!!!

So what it got political? It’s ridiculous that you locked it. People who don’t want to read it, they have the option not to read it.

Thanks Dan, It's ON3 and SHU BB ,,, keeping it to good dialogue on the sport is what we log in for. As horrifying as this was , might be best not even to start such Threads. One can go elsewhere. BTW , did poster Dehere23 leave, his analysis and BB acumen were most interesting to read whether agreeing or disagreeing. Thank you again for doing the hard work.

1. No name calling or threatening posters.

2. No political commentary.

3. No religious commentary.

We have those rules for a simple reason. All three subjects can and will become contentious. This is not a place for those subjects and never will be as far as JD and I are concerned.

In the past before On3 ran the site we had a third board (LOTS) for those very topics and as you know subjects there became very heated and SnakeTom often had to mediate or even threaten to discontinue the site. But through no fault of JD or mine LOTS was discontinued so that outlet for our readers no longer exist. But that doesn't mean you take those subjects here and interfere with the main purpose of this board, sports, SHU talk with an occasional non controversial current topic of concern. In this case RIP for famous people.

If you want to talk politics I'm sure you can find a outlet to satisfy your thirst. But not here.
