It seems that Michigan's defense of their behavior is that coaches share information, which is tantamount to what they did. If that's the case, then why not just get the information from another coach? Why engage in a sophisticated clandestine off the books program to steal signs?

The two acts must not be the same in terms of what information is gathered, otherwise why would Michigan put themselves in a position where they're clearly violating the NCAA rule and open to discipline.

My guess is Michigan knows we/they did it because.... we told them we would do it. Play silly games win silly prizes Mich.

I also wonder who Michigan shared sign info with. I suppose, with their own cheat videos, they did not feel a need to. But maybe every other team does it because it is allowed.

Michigan cannot say that team so-and-so did exactly what we did.. so they go on to mention something perfectly allowed as if it were teh same thing they did.

Even trying this tactic should get them a more harsh judgment. No remorse shown at all.
