The Franklin sucks horse is long dead but feel free to keep beating it if you must.
You've spent the last few YEARS spewing hate at anyone critical of BGJ, and you think a few days are going to balance that out? How precious. You will be seeing dead horses in your dreams for the next several years.Talk about obsession, how about if some fans get over their Franklin Derangement Syndrome and stop trashing him at every turn more than 50 days after he was fired? As I have said repeatedly I have no problem with his firing, the problem is Kraft’s abject failure in hiring a replacement.
His mother was a mudder… loves the slop, eats the slop!He sucks horse?

It seems it is coming to that.Headline: Pat Kraft to hold open tryouts for head football coach

Yep, ultimately I think this is what it came down to... wasted time. It does sound like Kraft had real discussions with Elko, Deboer, and Sitake but he missed on all 3 and spent the whole search window wooing these 3 so when the last one fell apart yesterday there was nothing left. Now Kraft looks like a fool. And with every passing day whomever we try to hire has more and more leverage. Now we will end up playing a mid tier coach $12M a year because Sexton will put the screws to Kraft knowing there aren't any other coaches out there to hire. Those of you that thought we were overpaying Franklin (we weren't) are in for a rude awakening with the next contract. There is nobody. Are you guys late to this party?
I can't believe Kraft ever thought he had a shot at any of these guys playing into December. The amount of time wasted on Elko, Deboer, and Sitake is absolutely mind blowing.
I was never in the Chesney camp, but I'd double UCLA's offer and end this shitshow now.
Potential? That's a fact as of today.Theres a future potential reality where James Franklin is remembered as the winner of this divorce.
maybe it's Franklin has the obsession - he had Crumbl Cookies at the VT signing day event as a jab at PSU for not getting Sitake - kind of a dick more by your hero.Talk about obsession, how about if some fans get over their Franklin Derangement Syndrome and stop trashing him at every turn more than 50 days after he was fired? interesting developments…..
Franklin is a grade A tier 1 DBagmaybe it's Franklin has the obsession - he had Crumbl Cookies at the VT signing day event as a jab at PSU for not getting Sitake - kind of a dick more by your hero.
I am going to apply....I got 2 years.....VARSITY!!!!It seems it is coming to that.
We'll see. I get that Hartline has a magical name when it comes to WRs-recruiting but he's only been calling offensive plays for 12 games now. I have to believe we end up with someone that is more capable than HartlineUh.... how many P4 coaching jobs are currently open?
(I'll save you the time: 2 - PSU and Cal)
Getting a first HC gig at USF is a wonderful opportunity (and a tremendous endorsement) for an aspiring HC.
Hartline was certainly far more "in demand" than any HC PSU is going to end up with.
With the benefit of hindsight...Should have hired a professional search firm the day after Franklin was fired.
Must be a horrible burden to go through life claiming that someone who disagrees with them is “spewing hate”. Grab your binky and blanky, head for mommy’s basement and assume the fetal position until you feel better and/or grow a pair. By the way, since you were criticizing me for reading comprehension issues you should bone up on yours since I said repeatedly since the day he was fired that I had no problem with the firing. You've spent the last few YEARS spewing hate at anyone critical of BGJ, and you think a few days are going to balance that out? How precious. You will be seeing dead horses in your dreams for the next several years.
Why can't we do both? We can multitask.Talk about obsession, how about if some fans get over their Franklin Derangement Syndrome and stop trashing him at every turn more than 50 days after he was fired? As I have said repeatedly I have no problem with his firing, the problem is Kraft’s abject failure in hiring a replacement.
PS is in his head, as much as Maryland was in his head. That's never a good thing, lack of focus, andmaybe it's Franklin has the obsession - he had Crumbl Cookies at the VT signing day event as a jab at PSU for not getting Sitake - kind of a dick more by your hero.
Franklin is not my hero. But kind of juvenile to claim that Franklin trolling over cookies is a dick move considering how he and his family were treated by some fans after the Northwestern game. Here’s a suggestion on how to respond which I fully endorse hire a damn coach, win those Big Ten and Nattys said we’re the standard and then troll Franklin as much as you want.maybe it's Franklin has the obsession - he had Crumbl Cookies at the VT signing day event as a jab at PSU for not getting Sitake - kind of a dick more by your hero.
And who would that be?PS is in his head, as much as Maryland was in his head. That's never a good thing, lack of focus, and
obsession with the past when the task at hand is running a football team.
I would like to know how many coaches out there never really liked him, i have two in mind and think
one of them could be our next HC.
Incompetence is not necessarily evil.Well, I'm not sure at this point it would do any good or be respected by anyone who counts. I just surfed all over the net something I never do for reactions to our situation, Bendapudi and Kraft are literally being trashed everywhere PS is mentioned. They have become the PS evil doers in cyberspace.
Exactly I think most would have been fine with Hartline or Stein. Not sure if it was just Kraft or Neeli and the BOT saying the next HC had to have HC experience. To me it's a ridiculous requirement if they did. Now they or PK is paying dearly for it.Reading the tea leaves and leaks I think Kraft made offers and got close to deals with Elko, Sitake, and Chesney at a minimum. Where he royally screwed up was by apparently refusing to seriously consider anyone without P4 head coaching experience aside from Chesney, who he kept on the back burner and lost by doing so. Stein or Hartline would have been perfectly acceptable hires. Conversations with others seemingly didn't pan out, or fell apart when those teams found success and no longer wanted to change jobs (Deboer). Why you'd put your fate in the hands of Auburn in the Iron Bowl I do not know, maybe because he felt he had Sitake in place by then.
He also seemingly had a verbal agreement with Sitake, which allowed BYU to come in and find the money in one day to get him to stay. Epic screw up there, you don't base the future of the program on a handshake, he needed a signed MOU with Sitake and while waiting around for that to close every other candidate he had been in talks with went to other jobs or signed extensions. He put all his eggs in one basket without a signature, and it blew up in his face the day before signing day, making PSU a laughingstock nationally and without time to get anyone in place for today. This is particularly egregious when you know you are negotiating with a former BYU letterman alum who has family ties to BYU and is a member of the LDS church. You have to know that Sitake has a massive emotional commitment to BYU, way too much of one to risk on a damn handshake. Epic, epic failure.
What do you expect them to say? "Sorry, our bad, we whiffed on all of our top 5 candidates for the job. But hang in there, we have a new list ofIt’s unbelievable that nobody in PSU leadership even attempts to put out a statement to the fans, alumni etc about where things stand and when this will be resolved. Yet these same people want every penny from you to keep a competitive roster?
Actually, Josh Pate had predicted this would happen. The day after, he said there is very little chance that Penn State would find a coach commensurate with Penn State's status in the word of CFB.But wait, they told me to fire Franklin???duh
Considering the amount of money these people earn, they absolutely should have put out a statement. I have no idea what it would say, but there are hundreds of thousands of alumni interested in this issue. What do you expect them to say? "Sorry, our bad, we whiffed on all of our top 5 candidates for the job. But hang in there, we have a new list of5 (Hartline),4 (Brohm), 3 more as of this afternoon! Please send money."
But that is not how PSU operates. Its all silence and let the national media drive the narrative.Considering the amount of money these people earn, they absolutely should have put out a statement. I have no idea what it would say, but there are hundreds of thousands of alumni interested in this issue.
And how’d that work out for us the last time they did that? But that is not how PSU operates. Its all silence and let the national media drive the narrative.
This is exactly correct. For nothing “official” to come out of the Athletic Department or above, is criminal.Considering the amount of money these people earn, they absolutely should have put out a statement. I have no idea what it would say, but there are hundreds of thousands of alumni interested in this issue.
True.Incompetence is not necessarily evil.
Freeman for one seems to despise him.PS is in his head, as much as Maryland was in his head. That's never a good thing, lack of focus, and
obsession with the past when the task at hand is running a football team.
I would like to know how many coaches out there never really liked him, i have two in mind and think
one of them could be our next HC.
Even something as simple as, "we understand there is a lot of concern among members of the PSU community, and will make an announcement shortly," would suffice. For now. This is exactly correct. For nothing “official” to come out of the Athletic Department or above, is criminal.
Been saying it for years there needs to be a complete house cleaning at PS top to bottom.Exactly I think most would have been fine with Hartline or Stein. Not sure if it was just Kraft or Neeli and the BOT saying the next HC had to have HC experience. To me it's a ridiculous requirement if they did. Now they or PK is paying dearly for it.
If they actually do say something it's likely to be one of two things. Neither will do much to change the national narrative that PSU is a laughingstock.Considering the amount of money these people earn, they absolutely should have put out a statement. I have no idea what it would say, but there are hundreds of thousands of alumni interested in this issue.
He said he thought it was clever. Wowmaybe it's Franklin has the obsession - he had Crumbl Cookies at the VT signing day event as a jab at PSU for not getting Sitake - kind of a dick more by your hero.
I hereby give permission to the PSU fanbase to pay me $50M and treat me poorly.Franklin is not my hero. But kind of juvenile to claim that Franklin trolling over cookies is a dick move considering how he and his family were treated by some fans after the Northwestern game. Here’s a suggestion on how to respond which I fully endorse hire a damn coach, win those Big Ten and Nattys said we’re the standard and then troll Franklin as much as you want.
