Proud just has to feel like an idiot right now. Unfortunate as every devils fan should be pumped.

I think my buddy Proud just does it, hoping they wake up and win. Woah they usually do.

This year is house money. Stay healthy and get playoff experience. The Devils should be better in a couple of years.

Only draw back for me, since Dawson's hot streak I have had Paula Cole stuck in my head. I don't want to wait for my life to be over, before the Devils win another Stanley Cup, 😆.

For his own sake, I hope that's the case. Otherwise his FanDuel history must be ruinous.

I thought of this season as house money when they got hot early and I thought they'd come back to Earth and sneak into the playoffs as a wild card team, but with the year they've had it's going to be tough to swallow no matter when they lose (if they do), although I agree with you that this team is inexperienced in the playoffs and that could be an issue. Also if they end up playing the Rangers, regardless of the circumstances, a loss to them would be a bummer of an ending to an otherwise great season. No matter how this season ends though, hopefully this is just the beginning.

Well said. I try not thinking about a losing end, the Rangers would be super tough. I think that is why I'm focusing on the big picture. Realistically, in September I would have signed for 8th place at this point in the season. It is great, most of our young stud defensemen are not with the big club yet. Barring major mistakes, the Devils should have a chance to have an era like '94-'03.

Bro, I stand by my comments on the team being two players away and Tatar is mostly useless, but I had put down a few brews pregame so, appreciate the conversation

That’s fine, but I’m just wondering how you can say a forward that leads the league in plus/minus is “mostly useless”. If you can’t answer that…then I’m sorry. It seems like you don’t understand the game.

Hes not a top-6 player on a team that goes far in the playoffs. He’s benefiting lately by playing with Nico. I watch him closely and he fails to make routine plays all the time

But it is good seeing you from Tatar brings “nothing positive” yesterday to “mostly useless” today.

So it does seem like you’re seeing at least something….

But he has a better plus/minus than nico. Maybe Nico is benefiting from playing with him…?

Again, sorry, but tough to take your opinions on hockey seriously when you claimed our league-leading forward at plus/minus, who is part of the 5th best line in hockey, brings “nothing positive” to the team. You can have any opinion on him you want…but it’s not true.

Pathetic performance from the Rangers today. Caps just walking in on the net untouched over and over again. Won’t put this one on Shesterkin, but it is another meh game from him.

Bonehead move by Lafreniere, touches the puck to negate a whistle for playing the puck with a high stick while he was surrounded by Caps and his teammates were in the middle of a line change. The whistle would have given them an attack zone faceoff and allowed them to finish the line change. Instead he immediately turns it over during the line change, resulting in a breakaway going the other direction.

Looks like that’s gonna be the rangers identity going forward. With Tarasenko and now Kane…two more forwards who bring nothing defensively…expect a bit more work for Shesty.

One would hope management sees this is not a team ready to make a run. Consistently terrible in their own zone, inability to play with speed, and too many dumb plays.

Kratsov quietly given away to Vancouncer during the game. Bring on Kane.

It's going to suck losing to the Devils in 5. Assuming NYR doesn't drop to a WC spot.

Both my boys were at the game today as they go to school in DC.

Older one said similar to what you did. Mentioned some questionable calls too. I didn’t see the game.

TJ Oshie boarded Lindgren; refs missed it, but that happens.
What irked me was PK Slewban excusing the play. Any commentary he has regarding dangerous plays he should keep to himself.

Eh I wonder if his stance on that hit was manufactured just to create a back and forth between him and Messier for TV. Sure looked like boarding to me.

Devils the front runner once again for Meier per the Athletic.

So long as we keep Mercer, Hughes and Nemec…make it happen Fitz!

I must have missed it but why the whites at home tonight?

Homage to a Cup team from the past?

Great Win last night. The Devils are also one of the team's scouting the Capitals. I don't know who, but I think of Fitz wanting to get bigger.

So upcoming UFA TVR is possible, and could Fitz be kicking the tires of Mr. Wilson. Fun time to speculate.

Get ready to get crushed Devils fans - the sense is Vegas is working hard to get Timo. Very hard.

So are the devils. Devils can certainly offer the better deal…and the sharks would rather trade him out of the conference.

There are certain teams that I think only focus on the here and now; Vegas definitely comes to mind. Timo is a great fit for the Devils window; they just need to avoid a STUPID bidding war.
I think they can trade a bit more than what the normal market would require, but their prospect pool and current roster is more than adequate to avoid risky overpayment.
