Poorly coached!I can't believe how lackadaisical they look in the playoffs. If you can't get going for this time of year, why play?
Huge issue
Rangers 1 goal in 5 1//2 periods

I’ll take the credit for the reverse jinx.None of the Rangers are playing well, but Trocheck is especially notable in how badly he sucks tonight.
He should've been. It's completely unacceptable to have no game plan on entering the zone against a trap. This is a stock strategy for 20 years now. Fire Turk now.I wonder if Kyk was leading the boos when the ranger fans were booing their own team?
This is going down in such an embarrassing way that my wish of Gallant being fired has to come true.Lol
Goodrow and Laf out with goalie pulled.
Can’t make it up
Explain to me how every d-zone face off they win they still struggle to exit the zone, yet every other team in the league does it with easeThis is going down in such an embarrassing way that my wish of Gallant being fired has to come true.
When they evaluate defensemen they overvalue size and toughness over the ability to handle the puck to exit and enter the zone.. That is why Schneider, who struggles with the puck in his own end, is paired with a big guy rather than Zac Jones who would complement him and get the puck out of trouble.Explain to me how every d-zone face off they win they still struggle to exit the zone, yet every other team in the league does it with ease
Zac would get eaten alive too, it’s the system Krup. When they evaluate defensemen they overvalue size and toughness over the ability to handle the puck to exit and enter the zone.. Yup.That was embarrassing. It almost looked like they didnt care to be on the ice. Couldve put me in net and devs win. 2 total high danger scoring chances.
Kakko to start the game and the trocheck goal
Because we circle back like jackasses and sit behind the net, we allow opponents to set up.Explain to me how every d-zone face off they win they still struggle to exit the zone, yet every other team in the league does it with ease
It was dead. Never seen a playoff game that dead. Felt like seton hall at Rutgers bball this year. Silent, team never gave the fans anything to cheer forKyk - watching game on tv, crowd sounded dead the whole game. Rangers played like this was a game vs San Jose in January. Didn’t see any intensity / desire etc.
People can say allll they want about AV but that man could coach offensive hockey. Theres a reason hes one of the winningest coaches in league history and got us to a cup final and an ECF.Because we circle back like jackasses and sit behind the net, we allow opponents to set up.
The Devils do the opposite and spring their forwards out immediately…it’s one quick pass and out
I genuinely believe unless we win the cup hes gone.I can’t wait for Gallant to be gone.
For ***'s sake, Gallant has been coach for 2 years, and the Rangers finished with over 100 points those 2 years in a row ..... for the third time in their HISTORY... Yes, let's fire that guy ASAP. What exactly is it you guys expect? I get that it's distasteful finishing behind the Devils, but, come on....I can’t wait for Gallant to be gone.
Nothing to do with finishing behind the Devils. Devils are having an incredible season, hats off to them. For ***'s sake, Gallant has been coach for 2 years, and the Rangers finished with over 100 points those 2 years in a row ..... for the third time in their HISTORY... Yes, let's fire that guy ASAP. What exactly is it you guys expect? I get that it's distasteful finishing behind the Devils, but, come on....
Have u watched the rangers? Why did florida and vegas fire him?For ***'s sake, Gallant has been coach for 2 years, and the Rangers finished with over 100 points those 2 years in a row ..... for the third time in their HISTORY... That’s not true at all. The Rangers are playing nowhere near as responsibly on offense as they were earlier in the series. Their giveaways and easily broken up cross ice passes are playing right into the Devils strength of fast breakouts.
What are the great coaching decisions you can point to that led to those two great seasons? For ***'s sake, Gallant has been coach for 2 years, and the Rangers finished with over 100 points those 2 years in a row ..... for the third time in their HISTORY... I agree that Jones would get pounded by the part of the Rangers’ system that just lets the other team get the blue line.Zac would get eaten alive too, it’s the system Krup.
Opposing teams after losing the offensive draw don’t skate out of the zone and allow defenseman to pick and choose their option with huge amounts of time and space.
When the Rangers win the defensive draw. their defensemen are met with 3 forecheckers and two defensemen holding the blue line.
When the Rangers lose an offensive draw they retreat
If you listen to fans of those teams, the exact same reasons Ranger fans are mad at him. An over reliance on certain favorite players regardless of how well they happen to be performing, and absolutely no adjustments as game situations change.Have u watched the rangers? Why did florida and vegas fire him?
Fall Saturdays in Piscataway.absolutely no adjustments as game situations change.
That’s really what it comes down to. The Rangers have a ton of talent and can win a lot of games just using that, but a team with a good structure can shut them down, they become very easy to play against, and their coach doesn’t have a clue to get them out if it.This has to be hard for Chris Drury to watch.
His nephew plays on a team that employs the same system as the Bruins, Devils and Lightning.
They may be minus a few offensive players now, but the Canes are tough to play against.
Well said. That’s really what it comes down to. The Rangers have a ton of talent and can win a lot of games just using that, but a team with a good structure can shut them down, they become very easy to play against, and their coach doesn’t have a clue to get them out if it.
Listen to his comments about last night. They are all about effort , which of course needs to be better, but he’s got nothing on how to play differently to counter how the Devils are playing and worse I don’t even think he believes they need to change (he also thinks they played great in Game 3 which is nuts, but they looked like they were trying harder in that game which is all he notices).
The Rangers only recover here if some individual players are able to use their talent to make individual plays to make something happen, because the coach isn’t go to do anything to change the momentum.
Definitely notHaha you clearly have never been to a hockey game. Its every national anthem.
Think the Devs finally playing to their strengths might have something to do with it? Give credit where it's due.Poorly coached!

Agreed, Devils adjusted, Rangers did not.Think the Devs finally playing to their strengths might have something to do with it? Give credit where it's due.
I said Rangers were the better team by far first 2. The kids are getting the gist of playoff hockey. Like Akira in goal. Very poised for a young guy.
