Slipknot Convention Hall Asbury Park was scary. Most intimidating pit I saw was when Anthrax performed at Sayreville. A small pit, but there were some cats who just didn’t look right.
For that offer, I'll buy you one, myself, lol. Seriously, though, if you're looking for vinyl, just click on the "Buy Vinyl" button on the page I linked and there are a few dozen folks selling the album for $5-7 each. Don't think it was released on CD, but if you want the songs digitally, I'm sure you can find them all on the internet at "sharing" (stealing) locations like Soulseek, since the website includes links to videos for 9 of the songs available on youtube. Also, the one you had mentioned - was that a CD or on vinyl? If it's on CD, I'll keep an eye out, as I still buy used CDs at Princeton Record Exchange and Vintage Vinyl and often pick up compilations like that. That's almost it ! At least I think. Find me a place to get that copy and I will never post on your weather thread again.lol
It doesn't have the Godzilla punk version though. But probably the same UK record company. Flying Lizards Money was definitely on it. And Walk on By
How is the Hold Steady. We went to see Craig Finn at the Wonder Bar a couple of years ago, and we almost fell asleep.

I've seen them 5 or 6 times now, I love them. Lot of energy, quite different from Craig solo. Fans are always into the show and a lot of sing alongs. Very passionate fan base.
Ok if you insist. You haven't lived until you've heard The Slits cover I Heard It Through The Grapevine.
Of course, it was an all female band.
That's awesome! My 14yr old isn't into the same music I like. Although she is opening her mind more to it as she gets older.
I figured I should add one...it’s too bad this woman is not more popular...I guess when you’re not shaking your ***, perpetually selfing, auto tuning or sounding like one of 100 Ariana grande crap-a-likes, talent alone does not get noticed as much...
This woman is just talented!
Can 466 Million people be wrong?
Don't think so...but do enjoy a good cover.

I enjoy it most of the time. However, I saw Weezer in Philly last Wednesday and they did no less than 6 covers or partial covers:https://g.co/kgs/z99NgX
Loving this thread. Alot of good ones already posted. Always a fun time at a show when a band you like busts into a song by another artist you like. Above one is much more modern then most discussed but one of my favorites.
Also for you younger people....one of my concert highlights of all time was sticking around for the encore of a linkin park concert in holmdel. Jay z came out and did a bunch of songs with them which would then go on to be collision course....but that was the first time I believe they performed together in public.
Did you see the Weezer SNL skit from this past weekend? I pretty much have this same argument with my friend every time we go see them, lol.Weezer...yessss!!!
Wednesday, didn't you have school the next day?I enjoy it most of the time. However, I saw Weezer in Philly last Wednesday and they did no less than 6 covers or partial covers:
Take On Me -Aha
Longview - Green Day
Paranoid - Black Sabbath
Happy Together - The Turtles
We Wish you a Merry Christmas
and of course...
Africa by Toto
For an established band, there's no way 1/4 of their headlining setlist should be covers by other bands especially when they have an extensive back catalog. That was 6 out of 22 songs by the way.

I agree that an established band should highlight their own hits but the ratio isn't important to me. A prime example is Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. Johnny Lyons has a huge catalogue of songs he has written but he and the band are fabulous at covering hits and making it their own with the horn section and Southside delivery. They just flat out entertain. Two of their favorite covers are these.I enjoy it most of the time. However, I saw Weezer in Philly last Wednesday and they did no less than 6 covers or partial covers:

Yes but we pulled a T2K and left during the encore to beat the traffic. I was in bed by 12. I mean really, how many times to do I have to hear Say it Ain't So anyway?Wednesday, didn't you have school the next day?
Did you have to shave? But you would be proud, J and I stayed to the end of the Bon Jovi concernt last April. Pretty rare occasion!Yes but we pulled a T2K and left during the encore to beat the traffic. I was in bed by 12. I mean really, how many times to do I have to hear Say it Ain't So anyway?
FYI - The lady in that argument was right, Weezer since Green blows.....except for their covers.
