Think it’s been a very long time. So far album is great — they picked up right where they left off
Whoa. First release since 2001! I remember them when we lived in Wilmington, NC from 1990-92. IIRC, they played the bars and UNCW. I'm pretty sure we saw them at least once, and remember their big hit was 74-75.

This would make a nice song for a first dance at a wedding. Heartfelt and romantic!!

This band from Long Island can really bring it. Will be a great for lifting and mountain biking.

New music from The Doobie Brothers, coinciding with their 50th (hard to believe) anniversary as a band. Some good tunes:

That's obviously not Michael McDonald singing. Wikipedia says he is still in the band.
That‘s Tom Johnston who is the founding member along with Patrick Simmons. McDonald essentially replaced Johnston in the late 1970s when Johnston left due to health issues, he later rejoined when the band reformed in the late 1980s. The Doobie Brothers had a bit of a more rocked up/R&B sound in the early 70s , which morphed into a jazzier, mainstream pop/rock sound with McDonald. A versatile band that could go a lot of places musically.

I like their older stuff: Taking it to the Streets, China Grove, Jesus Is Alright, Black Water (probably my favorite). Long Train Running on YouTube has over 16 million views.

Interested in how he does this with his voice..he's just screaming? It has to hurt? This is older, but I was able to focus more in this clip.

My favorite fry screamer is Chester.( mark 31)
Edited, but he screams it the same each time.
It's like 20 seconds of agony pouring out of him. Tragic and beautiful at the same time.

this guy is tame. (not chester...chester is a category of his own) some of the best screamers/growlers right now, in my opinion:

New Dion featuring Patti Scialfa on vocals and some guy named Bruce Springsteen on Harmonica.

Upcoming album “Stomping Ground,” also features Boz Scaggs, Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, Billy F Gibbons, Keb’ Mo’, Sonny Landreth, Joe Menza, Mike Menza, Marcia Ball, Jimmy Vivino, Rickie Lee Jones, Wayne Hood, Joe Bonamassa and G.E. Smith. Pete Townshend wrote the liner notes.

Anyone go to the Slipknot/Killswitch Engage show at PNC last Sunday. What a great show.

This is getting regular play on Altrok (Brookdale's station). Love the opening verse:

"It's not a competition
Remember you can judge your achievements
Based on things other than how much money you have"
