Dave Sims is a pretty well known baseball broadcaster. I listened to him on the radio and didn't really like his fit with the Yankees. I would have rather see them retain the fill in from last year or somebody newer until they hit on something good.
In addition to other New York sports gigs, Dave Sims hooked up with Ed Coleman late in 1989 to early 1993 on WFAN where they tongue-in-cheek referred to themselves as "The Coleman and the Soul Man."

I just saw Xfinity will drop the Yes network. Truth to this and if so wtf?
Yankees fans in New Jersey and parts of Connecticut who subscribe to Comcast Xfinity’s cable service will be able to watch the Bronx Bombers this weekend as the YES Network and the telecom giant agreed to extend the deadline to reach a new carriage fee deal — thus averting a blackout for the time being.

YES and Comcast reached agreement to extend the deadline to 11:59 p.m. ET on March 31, delaying the removal of YES Network from Comcast’s lineup, which had originally been set for midnight Friday.

Of course, I was at opening day which severely lacked fireworks as such lolol!!

This is complete insanity!
Since it was such a nice day, my family made the last minute decision to go to the game. So great to experience something like that in person. I guess the only disappointment was Judge just missing his 4th and then flying out off a position player, lol.

If true, this is proof that Hal is cheap. Could have signed Burnes or Bregman.

If Stroman averages 5 innings per start, it's gonna be tough to hit his vesting option at 140 innings. Hopefully the Yankees can throw him back in the pen or dump him when some pitchers come back. For now, he's a needed arm.

Strange how they wouldn't pitch to Judge after his first home run today.

Have the 1950 Red Sox returned?
That team scored 568 runs without a DH in the first 79 games that season.
They also lost Ted Williams after his getting hurt in the All-Star Game, causing a slowdown in the production and a likely factor in having the Yankees beating them out for the pennant.
1951 scoring was back to historical averages.

Walk the #9...

The goal should be keeping it relatively close and get to the Arizona bullpen.
And still trying to understand the logic of Goldschmidt leading off?
