CMU’s head coach was on staff at Michigan, but there’s a video that captures a moment on the sideline where it seems like Stallions is trying not to be seen by McElwain. Maybe a buddy on CMU’s staff did him a solid by letting him hang around and told him to keep a low profile.
Ahhh... now THAT makes sense. @rutgersguy1 video just above.. wow.. I do believe the commentary is correct.. it is Stallions and he knows the TV cameras are going to catch him so he hides his face.

It’s part funny, part nuts. If it’s him he’s wearing a wig or grew out his hair. First game of the season. Would be funny if someone found a pic/video of him for Michigan’s ECU game which was the day after the CMU game. Compare the two.

Yea I posted that above. I get the superimposition is suppose to make it seem like it is the same person but I still couldn’t tell for sure or if there's some photoshop going on.

I just wanted to see a picture of him at the ECU game on the Michigan sideline and see if the hair is the same or not just a day after the CMU game.

You’d think someone on that sideline would know who it was and could identify him quickly. Either that or the person himself says hey it was me. I’m leaning towards the idea now it was Stalions, especially the longer it takes.

Also possible landing spot for Harbaugh in the NFL. He did coach for the Raiders and Mark’s father earlier in his career.

Isn’t Chris Ash on staff for the Raiders? Decent chance he might be looking for a new job again too.

yeah.. when it slides over I expect your eyes are forced to choose focus more on one than the other.. so it ends up looking like the same person simply because it is so close. And, of course, how it got close is another issue.. so easy to thin or widen a face, lengthen it, rotate.. just to make eyes line up. Of course, it would have taken a ton to make all the features line up that much.... then again, they could have taken the first CMU photo and dressed it up in Michigan gear and skewed it to make it look different.. the the faces would line up almost perfectly.... in fact, that's probably less work all-around if you wanted to fool people.

Also pretty sure people who are good at AI could show it the CMU photo and tell it to change it to Michigan... like, put this guys face in that guys clothing. If that is not easy to do right now it is getting pretty darn close. We could easily make Stalions get caught red-handed grabbing an official's butt.

The one area that seems the same on the separate pictures is the mount. Looks exactly the same

I expect the Raiders coaches had a tough time... not sure who drafts for them.. but the personnel issues late last season were insurmountable. Derek Carr.. who seems to be doing okay in New Orleans.. basically rebelled against his teammates... and coaches.

Interestingly, that story linked above mentions: "The Patriot way of mindlessly going over every detail is now the Raider way. Josh is fair, he will call out a player, and a coach. That is not good for some people." - this refers to HC Josh McDaniels who had come from the Pats to the Raiders. That made me think it Greg Schiano and how his "details" thing was not loved in Tampa.

But the Raiders can bring back Gruden, right? Hasn't his "cancellation" itself been "cancelled"? He'll straighten em out. Oh.. I see he is still suing the NFL. NFL should make a deal with Gruden and the Raiders (if they want him back)... drop lawsuit, all is cool... welcome back... Hey Riders.. here is the buyout $$$ for McDaniels... all is forgiven?

More than photo matching, I think the biggest issue is it’s taken so long to identify who it was. It should be fairly easy between coaches on the sideline who should have known who it was and the person himself saying it was me. It’s probably the biggest story in CFB so it’s not as if they wouldn’t know.

Not doing it back in 2019? Didn't help Don Brown stick around if he was. It's crazy how people must be combing through videos but that's the internet I suppose.

This what I said initially, I'd be surprised if anything is done this season to affect the current year. Even when the punishment is doled out I'd expect stuff that might hit Harbaugh or scholarships or fines but not things that affect on field stuff like post season ban etc.. NCAA has shifted away from punishments that affect players who didn't do anything wrong.

the players are doing something wrong. they knew the coaching staff was cheating and benefitted from it. In the Athletic article, there was mention of Aidan Hutchinson and Ojabo having hand signals that they used to signal run or pass to each other. Likely based on what was coming from the sidelines.

They benefited from the info but doesn’t mean they had any clue how the info was gotten and the means Stalions took.

They just take cues from their coaching staff and what to do.
