I *expect* paperwork to buy a gun. No right is without limitations. Sales with no paperwork - even private sales - should be banned, outright.

That said, I'm really frustrated with the whole AR-15/"WEAPONS OF WAR" thing.

Guys. Really. There's nothing special about it. It's a rifle. A rifle chambered in a fairly lightweight varmint round. Is it brutally lethal from 20 feet? Yes. All rifles, any rifle, would be brutally lethal at 20 feet. Rifles are intended to be lethal at distance, so they're going to be way overcooked at close range.

What we need are magazine size limits. The AR-15A2 that I toted around in the early 80s came with a 10 round mag, courtesy of the USAF. Limit all semiauto weapons to no more than 10 rounds per magazine. I'm fine with that. If you need more than 10 rounds to shoot a groundhog or a bad guy in your living room, you probably shouldn't be trying to shoot anything.

Incidentally, an AR-15 is a stupid, asinine, ridiculous weapon for bad guys in your living room. Just dumb. Straight-up Meal Team 6 ****, there. The ideal weapon for home defense is a shotgun - always has been, always will be. Save the AR for zombies scaling your fence.
Common sense is notably lacking among gun lovers these days. They used to be more sensible, another sign that it's the right more than the left that has become extreme. Remove registration and other steps and it simply becomes easier for criminals, lunatics, angry people and terrorists to get guns.

I'd sign up on this.

I'll also point out that, even today, 97% of all firearms homicides involve handguns. It's my belief that handguns are not necessary for home defense and they are not "militia weapons" (the AR-15 is). I would ban them, outright, and introduce a sliding scale of legal penalties for their possession or use. I don't own one, never have, never will. They simply serve no legitimate purpose.

they go by what Fox and charlatans like Tucker tells them
also tend to believe the fiction served them ( lies called alternative facts)
because that fits their personal beliefs better than the truth does.
Being comfortable believing the lies being told them make useful idiots
uncomfortable when hearing the truth so they lash out like little children
against those who supply true facts that can't be ignored .
But they try anyway while making up conspiracy theories in an effort to influence the uninformed to join them in rejecting the true facts and become stuck in the lie they want accepted

Conservatives mostly left Fox a long time ago (worth mentioning many red hat maga types are Dems who hate GOP and only vote DT ).
BlackRock crept in and bought enough stock to become #2 owner behind Rupert.
Fox ads are mostly from pharma.
They supported Ukraine massacre and back neo-con pols
Bannon calls Fox "TV for stupid people."
Dems watching Fox most

The good aspect of all the blanket censorship is conservative sources created new outlets all over the place.
Getter, Rumble, Real America's Voice, Epoch Times, Revolver, National Pulse and others took all the audience.
There are also great outlets from real liberals and independents.
Nobdy really cares what Hannity, Ingraham, Jason Chaffetz et al have to say.
All the old media has been imploding

Yes, the entire scientific community could all be on the take, or it might be that Bannon-supported Yan's work is as questionable as the MIT Rapid Reviews analysis indicates that it is. Basically, those would be your choices.

A thing about Yan is she was just one person among many censored and banned.
Some of the top virologists and vaccinologists (like Geert Vanden Bossche who even worked for Gates Foundation) were also banned.

Dr Mcullough wrote close to 700 articles and is the most published and peer reviewed cardiologist in America - he's a top expert globally. He was recomendin the jab until he started seeing wrong things. He testified about those and instantly got bad-jacketed. Liberal Bret Weinstein went through the same mill. Both guys are brilliant and objective - and sincere about helping people. Everybody should listen to them

"Truth" itself is a bias.
I don't ascribe to everything any one conservative say.
Bannon is great on economy and calls things early
He's got like a 190 IQ, an MBA from Harvard, worked for Goldman and was in Navy for 8 years.
He spoke at Oxford Union.
I like him on economics but I dont like the way he pushes war with China over Taiwan and TSMC.
Getting into conflict with China over chips is very much a neo-con thing.
I think he gets caught-up with his LaoBeijing (term for "old hundred names" - a populist label) and wants to fight over them and uses the chips.
Currently I really like RFK Jr and he's an old skool liberal.
His talk with Rogan was pretty good.
I could vote for him.
Col Macgregor is best military expert by far and only one worth listening to.
VivaFrei and Robert Barnes are two cant miss lawyers who criticize every faction.
Richard Baris is best on polls and he appears with Barnes too.
Both recount how Trump (they advised him in 2016) was warned by contacts in pharma that the jab was going to have problems since all coronaviruses do (a reason no cold vaccines),
Dr Malone and Naomi Wolf were Hillary voters.
I've liked seeing the rounded debates from sincere people of all stripes

McCullough? The guy who was pushing hydroxychloroquine and lying about deaths from vaccines? That top scholar? The American Board of Internal Medicine was looking at revoking his license. Don't know what the final decision was on that, but I guess they are on the take as well? Soros? Who is behind trying to kill all of America?

Why are so many in this thread acting like useful idiots sprouting the misinformation their “fearless leaders” gave them to believe .
-----------------------------
>First, conservatives are more vulnerable to listening to and believing people who present themselves as authority figures. This tracks back to George Lakoff’s finding that conservatives are most comfortable in a world that’s run along “strict father” lines, while progressives prefer a “nurturing family” model of society and politics.

While a strict father limits freedom, he also provides a sense of safety: “Father will protect and take care of you.” Putting your trust in authoritarian figures diminishes the complexity of life: there’s less to have to know or worry about if you believe that “father” has it all under control.

But it also makes conservatives more vulnerable to believing any old thing that “father” tells them.<

You've taken an article that provides nothing more concrete than "the defendants claim" and built an entire scenario around it which you posit as True.

As if to say that no defendant facing serious jail time for a major felony would ever, ya know, make up a story. Cuz that's never happened.
We'll see who is correct in this eventually. And it will be a plot concocted by the FBI with teh express purpose of entrapping right-wingers, because, they KNOW.. that right-wingers are teh greatest terrorist threat to America.

What is it that you think we're crying about, exactly?

The overwhelming majority of the planet thinks your titian titted man is an utter buffoon and his followers (that's you) are too stupid to live.

In other words, we're winning.

You're the one crying - you idiots cry incessantly.
You are crying about being shown to be a fool with your Hunter laptop/russia disinformation tinfoil hat story, and of course your idiot statement that Bidunce was legally bound to the Afghan withdrawal, among others.

Who am I following exactly? You don't know **** lil' bleemBoy.

I agree that everybody purchasing a gun should be required to get a background check, even when done through private sales or inheritance. I actually posted a bunch of common sense gun regulation I think all the states should adopt. And the background checks need a ****-ton of improvement.

But disagree and am I’m opposed to pretty much any gun bans, especially handguns. First get all the illegal guns off the street (which we all know ain’t happening anytime soon). Then talk to me about banning guns or carry permits. I can tolerate the federal full auto ban, that most states also have in place now, but I don’t love it.

I mostly agree about shotguns being the ideal weapon for home defense, for various reasons. But handguns are how qualified citizens can protect themselves outside the home, even though I get there are practical safety trade offs to this.

The fact that you "like" what certain people say shows that you are not interested in facts but opinions, opinions that back up your own. Opinions aren't news.

What a joke. Yeh let's take away the rights of the 99% responsible gun owners to determine how they want to protect their family and property.

Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, CDC, WHO, NIH, Stanford, JAMA all say that mask wearing slows the spread of COVID. I do listen to those guys.
Conservatives know medicine better than doctors, climate better than climate scientists, green energy better than engineers, teaching better than teachers, human sexuality better than psychologists, gender dysphoria better than psychologists--and all without studying any of it! They "do their research"--which consists of seeking shady sources on the internet that confirm their pre-conceived notions. As a result, they're dying in higher numbers from Covid--and everything else.

Weve been down this road before. I have constantly posted stuff that gets shouted down because people want to keep their fantasy of feeling morally superior wearing their paper thin blue mask
It's really not hard to feel morally superior to a clown who cries about missing a basketball game in the middle of a pandemic that killed over one million Americans.
You make it so easy.

I post more reasearch links than anybody here.
You dont post facts at all - most of the LWFP (Left Wing Fudge Pack) here is that way.
Resentment is the losers anger and thats all most of the put-down artists have
Reguritiating CDC opinions is for muggles since they mangle there own pronouncements in time.
CDC is now promoting "equity" for guys pretending they can breastfeed - excuse me "chestfeed".
Many of the experts are as bizzare as anything in history

I was for masks before the CDC and Surgeon Genersal advised them (watched Chris Martensen on "inoculum" )
Even Fauci was telling people not to bother with masks (and he said the virus wouldn't be a big problem in US)

"If you look at the masks that you buy in a drug store, the leakage around that doesn't really do much to protect you," he said. "People start saying, 'Should I start wearing a mask?' Now, in the United States, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to wear a mask."

No links Phoenix - time for serial accusers to start backing-up the claims they always make without any facts included.
