Anyone know how to short OTC stocks?
I don't know how to short regular stocks! But just saw this:

In order for you to be able to short a stock, Etrade must also be able to locate the shares to borrow. Etrade, just like TD Ameritrade and most brokers, does not allow shorting of OTC or penny stocks.

This seems to be due to low volume trading of most OTC stocks.

Saw Berkshire, just like myself, bought VZ recently. I'll bet I got in at a better price.

They went with the balance sheet of Chevron, I went with the turnaround hopes for BP..

For tax purposes I need to list every stock transaction I made last year? And not just give the total? Can I not just put my 1099 in with my return?

TD shows MARA up 3.84 and GBTC up 2.30 in premarket
Nice bounce for GBTC. I snuck in some additional shares last week at $45'ish. I had what I originally planned for already, but just wanted top off even more. Final cost basis just below $35. I will buy more only if/when there is a significant dip (since I am a holder).

I don't think E-Trade shows HIVE or Argo in extended (since they are OTC). Argo closed at $3.64 and HIVE at $3.81 yesterday! Just crazy.
I'm seeing Hive up 4%.

There seems to be different times when different equity types become open for trading?

You should be able to use the document E-Trade gives you. That's all you need. At least, that's all you need when using TurboTax (which I believe you can directly linked up to E-Trade for tax docs).

SENS, which Nut recommended a month or so ago at around $2.80(and it then dipped to about $2.30) currently at $5.70.

So just include that with the return? Cool, that makes sense, but it didn't seem to be what I was reading.

Got in at .48 and sold at .98. Bought again at 2.62 and sold yesterday at 5.50. Probably has a ways more to run but I honestly don't know what the target price would be so not gonna be greedy. Might buy again if it dips.

If you are doing this manually, I'm not sure. TurboTax fills out a lot of forms automatically for you.

I like the rising rev's but when I saw that move from the pennies up to high 2's I was wary. Was tempted even more when it went back to $2.30, but I do have a fair amount of small/micro cap plays running so I didn't dive in.

Can't get in on them all I guess.

QS up to $57. After becoming public via a SPAC merger it took off from 15ish up to 130ish and then settled back around $42 before this current move.

Remember Jeremy Grantham is a big investor here.

On Fastmoney last night, one of the Bitcoin guys was pointing to how a company that is still years away from rev's could have a $20 Bil market cap as an example of how crazy the market was. Noting how the public markets are now, in some instances, acting as if it is private equity investing. Thought there was some irony there.

Seeing LODE load on the ticker up about 3xish. A mining company of some sort. Not sure if digital or otherwise.

Edit: Gold and silver. Not sure the why for the jump, but seeing a 4x p/e.

QS now has Bill Gates, George Soros and VW as major investors
And Grantham(who is very big on green energy in general).

Just seems so far off though. Literally years away from actual rev's, nevermind earnings.

But it's likely one of those plays where if you wait until it proves itself as viable, then you are going to be paying a lot more to get in.

BTC bouncing above and below the 51K level. Currently 51.2K.

Will the 50K level which acted as resistance, for however quick that was, now act as support? Or we still looking at 42Kish?

30K proved itself a pretty solid floor, but I'd be surprised if we get back to that level.

Edit: Just want to add the novice chart tracker disclaimer.

Plenty of logic that the lower level of resistance has been raised quite a bit, especially due to institutional support. If it ever dropped to near $40k, I assume you would have tons of folks (and whales) jump in to buy on the dip.

A lot of Reddit guys are going to lose a lot of money on UVXY and VXX. This isn’t the same trade as pump and dump. Demand doesn’t equal price appreciation on derivatives.

Is VXX on the Reddit list? I typically buy VXX when I’m predicting a market drop.

BLNK now only up 1,684% for the year. Perhaps you should try picking the long winners instead of looking for short crumbs? 😁
I love crumbs. Trying to find more of these type of trades. Really wanted to short CMGR. This is the OTC stock that ran up because people thought this was the “clubhouse”. It’s like free money.

no FOLM on these shorts.
