PANW buying CyberArk for $25B. Great deal! The cyber market needs consolidation.
PANW down 10% on that news. Failed at $200 yet again.

Once the market fully digest this news perhaps this will be the catalyst to finally break through.

Correction in quantum or in market?

August and September are typically the worst months for S&P historically
I don't know about a full correction, but a market cool off here does time well with historical seasonality.

And the high beta stocks(and this has been a common narrative of late on CNBC) would certainly feel that cool off more then the overall market.

My Etrade is not picking up on the fact that BYDDY split their stock. Thus I have a big loss currently on the books.

Kind of annoying.

Buy that dip! I will add today.
Speaking of dip buying.

The KRE(regional banks) since the Silicon Valley Bank collapse in May of 2023 has outperfomed the S&P by 1500 basis points.

Just slight underperformance to the Q's. A percent or 2.

The regionals get no love, but that is strong performance if you bought when panic was at it's highest. I own a couple individual names, including VLY which has been OK, but looks like it's on the other side of a reverse head and shoulders. So Im hanging in for awhiles longer. 4% div.

Side note: I was googling basis points to % conversion, just to make sure, and as I typed in 15 google prompted "150 basis points". Either I said the words out loud with out realizing(and my computer is listening) or the algo really gets me.

Tom Lee has been pushing KRE for a long time. Makes a lot of sense, especially when interest rates start getting cut again.

As for PANW, just looked, only down 5-6% now. Let's see how the afternoon goes.

10% as in the 2 day move off of $204.

I've been selling some stuff very recently so I have money waiting for dips. Here's a dip, so I bought a little more.

Got it. I'm eyeing SOUN, Mongo, and a few new biotechs. Still interested in LULU, but need to figure out the right entry point.

HOOD down a little on what sounded like a huge beat all the way around.
I sold the other day. Looking to get back in.

Not playing around with HOOD. Holding. That quarter was phenomenal.

BTW - Check out their YouTube channel. They live-streamed the conference call.

MSFT finally had the quarter Hodlers were hoping for. Price settled down now in $558/sh range. Sold a quarter of what I had last night but still hold “a lot” as Amazon appears to be the one faltering in cloud execution. AI party still young-ish though…as per the pastelled prince.

Sofi announced a couple days ago.

They put more stock out into the market and that pulled the stock back to even after initially popping on earnings.

They are popping again today.

RBLX had earnings this morning and are ripping.
My daughter's portfolio is ripping (13 years old). She has owned RBLX for the past few years. :)

FYI - Buy the SHAK dip. I'm holding a large position.
