My favorite move i freaking love the assassin

LOL. Since it's illegal in high school (and middle school and youth), I certainly can't call it my favorite move. It's something that refs are always on the lookout for. You can stop it for PD if you catch it before the offensive wrestler steps over over, but once things get to that point it's a point to the defensive wrestler (as well as being dangerous).

Like the bow-and-arrow, it's a different world in college wrestling for the assassin.

SVN worries me a bit on bottom. Someone like Joy could give him major problems. I think he dominates from neutral but on bottom he hasn’t been great this season. Any cause for concern?
It's the only chink in his armor, oddly it's been like that for a couple years and he's not getting better. Without Lovett at 149 I'm not sure it will matter this season.

My only concern right now is Lilledahl, but it's more like caution than concern. I think he looks a little bit better today than last month though.

Tom is quick to call the fall. 😉

My reputation is more the opposite. Coaches are constantly saying things like "there it is," or complaining that the opposing wrestler was pinned. I get flat on my stomach, and make sure that you earn a pin. It's amazing (to me) how often a defensive wrestler can avoid a pin by northing more than 1/2" - 1". And unless you are flat on the mat, and really checking, you wouldn't know if it was a pin or not (though everyone has an opinion).

In high school (and middle school and youth), once you put your opponent in pin criteria, you have to hold it for 2 seconds. There are times that I'm jealous of the college refs, as there is no hold-in-pin-criteria time requirement in college.
