78 consecutive dual victories and people are talking about which PSU wrestler concerns them the most. No time to enjoy witnessing history, we must complain about something!

I love this board so much.
As good as these guys are there is always room for improvement. It's like Cael says, we want to see all of these guys achieve their goals so they have to keep getting better. I'm sure 95% of the people here legitimately think PSU should have seven finalists and that eight is a possibility so we want to see them continue to improve.

Not that it would matter but why is Rutgers missing half of their starters. Goodale is one of the biggest proponents of a dual meet championship but sits half of his team in the B10 opener.
Not to defend it, but I think they are getting some work for their red shirt freshmen since they have 5 dates to use. So maybe Goodale figures why not let them experience what it’s like to wrestle the best?

Period 1:
Here we go! Tying up & hand fighting. Rocco drops to a leg & finishes the TD, 3-0. Rocco gets Cartagena-Walsh bellied out. Cartagena-Walsh works back to his base. Rocco with heavy pressure from top. Cartagena-Walsh works to his feet & gets the escape, 3-1. Cartagena-Walsh with some fakes. Rocco goes right back to a leg, then switches to a double & finishes the TD, 6-1. Rocco is riding heavy. Rocco takes down. He works to his feet, then gets the escape, 10-2. Hand fighting & tying up again. Rocco shoots, but Cartagena-Walsh blocks him off. Rocco reaches for a leg, but can't get there. Rocco fakes a shot & Cartagena-Walsh reacts. Rocco shoots, but Cartagena-Walsh blocks him off. Cartagena-Walsh gets a stall warning. Cartagena-Walsh reaches for a leg, but Rocco blocks him off. Rocco hits another head outside single, then drops to a double, but they go out of bounds, no scoring. Tying up & hand fighting again. More of the same to end the period. 10-2 Rocco, +90-sec RT

Period 3:
Cartagena-Walsh takes down. He works to his feet & gets the escape, 10-3. Tying up & hand fighting again. Rocco shoots, but no luck. He shoots again, but same result. Cartagena-Walsh gets another stall warning, point Rocco, 11-3. More tying up & hand fighting. Cartagena-Walsh shoots a double straight on. Rocco counters, but they go out of bounds, no scoring. Cartagena-Walsh gets a 3rd stall call, another point Rocco, 12-3. Rocco shoots & takes Cartagena-Walsh out of bounds, neutral restart. Cartagena-Walsh shoots & gets in deep. Rocco gets an ankle. Stalemate & restart, 20-sec left. RT is locked. Rocco shoots, but can't finish. Tying up & hand fighting to end the period. Rocco adds a RT point, 13-3.

Period 1:
Here comes Barr without his compression shirt. Barr with some hard snaps. Cotton tries an underhook, but can't do anything with it. Barr reaches for a leg, but can't get there. Barr presses forward. Cotton reaches for a leg. Barr snaps, but can't finish. Barr drops in on a leg & gets a brief danger count. Cotton locks through the crotch. Barr keeps working & finishes the TD, 3-0. Barr has Cotton all twisted up & is getting back points. He gets swipes, then looses the hold, +4 NF, 7-0. Barr goes over 1-min of riding time. Barr has Cotton bellied out on the edge & rides out the period. 7-0 Barr, +1:29 RT

Period 2:
Barr takes down. He works to his feet, then turns, but Cotton stays with him. Barr gets up to his feet, but Cotton brings him back to the mat on the edge. Out of bounds & restart. Barr is still down. Caution on Barr, false start. Barr works to a quadpod, then his feet & gets the escape, 8-0. Tying up & hand fighting. Barr shoots & gets a leg, then finishes another TD, 11-0. Barr gets Cotton bellied out, then cuts him, 11-1. Cotton shoots, but Barr circles away. Barr presses forward. Cotton gets to an ankle. Barr locks through the crotch, then sprawls back. Stoppage & restart for PD, I think, 9-sec left. Circling & tying up to end the period. 11-1 Barr, +1:08 RT

Cotton takes down. He works to a quadpod. Barr tries to lock up a cradle, but Cotton gets the escape, 11-2. Cotton shoots a double. Barr gets a leg & blocks off Cotton. Cotton switches to a single. Barr keeps working & comes behind for the TD, 14-2. Stoppage & restart, 1-min left. Cotton is still down. Barr gives up the escape, 14-3. Barr shoots & gets a leg, then finishes another TD, 17-3. Barr has a leg turk & is looking for a turn. Cotton doesn't want to go over. Barr rides out the period & adds a RT point for the 18-3 Tech!

Cole presses forward again. Cole reaches for a leg. Catka drops in on a low leg. Cole gets to a far ankle. Cole is trying to come behind, but Catka is hanging on tight to the ankle. Stalemate & restart. Tying up & hand fighting to end the period. 0-0

Period 2:
Cole takes down. He works to his feet & gets the escape, 1-0. Tying up & hand fighting again, then they break. Back to the same. Catka with heavy pressure on the head. Cole reaches for a leg, Catka counters, but Cole kicks free. Back to tying up & hand fighting. Cole reaches for a leg, but can't get there. Catka shoots & gets a low leg. Cole gets to a far ankle. Just not big enough. Not sure how many times I need to see the same match. He can still win this though with guile...edit...not big enough but GOOD ENOUGH
