See I look at that game and think to myself he was doing the same thing that he did in the previous 38 that all resulted in wins.

We will never know what Cal is thinking but I'm willing to bet he went with that lineup and stayed with it because he thought that was our best shot at winning.

I just think that any coach in that situation does the same thing. Most will ride with the guys that have gotten you there.

Plus the whole consumed with getting guys to the NBA after one year argument doesn't really fly in that game.......considering he stuck with the twins (2 year guys) over Ulis and Booker (1 year guys).

It takes a lot of luck to go along with a great team to win it all. However, if Cal wants to win another he has to look himself in the mirror adapt, and put his ego to the side. I don’t think he wins another title. I’m not sure we see another Final Four under him.

Yep. A prime example is Whitney.

Guys like Whitney, Brooks, Juzang................Cal knows that if any of these guys get going, well that's just going to make our team all the more better going forward. But it's a balancing act. He's said it several times during his press conferences........because he knows he has to get those guys going......but he's also trying to win the game. So who does it go to in crunch time? Quickley is out there, Hagans is out there, Maxey is out there.

I generally believe that despite the feeling of some UK fans, Cal plays our best team or what he honestly believes to be our best team.

Same with that Wisconsin game. Plus like it was pointed out, it wasn't as if the Harrison's played all that poorly.

Not sure what game(s) you are referring to, but some have a distorted memory of Wisconsin in 2015. Harrison twins combined for 25 points, 9-19 FG, 5rb, 4ast, 1 TO in that game. Booker couldn't guard a loose shoe on the ground at the time.

I say the same thing in my complaint, all the time, because for every person who agrees, someone disagrees. I don't think players are comfortable playing for Cal, it may be a generational thing. Did you not see how relaxed they were when he left? Never mind the fact that KP put them in a zone, they were relaxed. I think it's being used against him on the recruiting trail. The elite players know they're going to the NBA, regardless of which program they play for. If you're looking for more playing time, and to not get yanked for every mistake, well.....? Again, he represents the program well.

Wisconsin was a great team. I won't deny that. But I saw Cal use the same tactics that we've been seeing him use in other games (that they should have won). He was more worried about the futures of those twins than he was playing one Tyler Ulis (.429 3pt%). Cal has been so invested in the numbers of stars beside a player's names and getting them into the league after one year. I think he will adapt, Richards has been helping with that.

1. Did you not see players celebrate when Cal came back to the locker room? Do you not see how many have improved playing for Cal? Hell, Izzo even commented on how well Cal does getting freshmen to play. There is one common theme, which is young players seem to struggle and doesn't produce in other school...why is when Cal gets top 5 players, we go to final four. When other coaches do...well there hasn't been a top 5 player in final four since Cal did in 2015.

2. Twins choked? at the end of the Wisconsin game? You joking right? Just stop it, this is silly. Do you even know what happened? Or are you going to blame twins (by the way, they are two different players) for everything? Is it because they didn't do heroics?

3. Ulis did play some at the end of the game, you just want to ignore that fact. He didn't do anything so.

When Cal sees exactly what happens with the NBA Jump or whatever, he’ll figure out how to once again put Kentucky where it’s supposed to be. I voted yes however, he will have to catch lightning in a bottle like 2012. Some key players will have to stay over another year with an outstanding incoming class. Wisconsin didn't just have the number 1 offense that season, they were the 1st ranked offensive efficiency team since those stats have been kept track of.

They were always going to put up points in that game.

They put up 1.23 ppp on us. But that season they had 20 games where they put up more.

This year and next year are two more chances.

Cal’s best teams have all had good returning experience.

This year didn’t seem too promising at first. While the returnees are really some of the best he’s had, the frosh have been underwhelming. But they’re coming on a bit so there’s hope in a down year.

Next year, Cal has a great class lined up but we don’t know about returnees. We believe several should return and that some will but how many returning will actually have much game experience. Allen and Whitney will have little to none.

Hope IQ returns along with Brooks and Juzang. In that case, Next year would be a serious contender, maybe even the favorite. If Cal can’t get the 2021 team to the FF then all future bets are off.
