Not really. Nobody knew who these guys were in November.Should have been available in Nov.
What a way to introduce them..... you're buying them bc they are a Seton Hall team... you sell them early as a vehicle to introduce them to the fan base... once again, we're late to the party... pass the pesto...Not really. Nobody knew who these guys were in November.
No one's buying these cards now, either. Please, who’s buying trading cards in November when everyone thought the team was going to be a terrible last place team.
the trading card hobby is actually massive stillDoes the Patrick Suemnick card come with a milk carton background?
Give them credit for trying something but are trading cards even a thing anymore?
Timing is definitely bad, should be done before the holidays. Here's the point of my statement.
You got 3 games left in the BE season. 3/4 of this roster will turn over. So why do I buy these now?
Rosters are set basically in the summer. You can take pics then. You want action shots? ok, first couple games. You should have been able to get them ready by Dec, put them out in the merch tables at the Rock, send out the tweet with the link. Now, you have a majority of the season to sell them.
It's just bad marketing. Its like when they introduced the new jerseys (black ones? grey? I can't recall) and they weren't available for sale until AFTER the game, which they promptly lost. They lose the momentum.
Sorry, but its always been think small at the hall...
They are a VERY big thingDoes the Patrick Suemnick card come with a milk carton background?

I'd be more interested in knowing which ones have been very successful. Try to build on what works.Has there been one NIL fundraising thing/event that hasn’t been criticized by this group, whose number one complaint by the way seems to bf a lack of NIL funds?
Pirate Crew even at its peak only represents a tiny fraction of the base.I'd be more interested in knowing which ones have been very successful. Try to build on what works.
We also have a rapidly dwindling number of members of Pirate Crew, so that's not good for one of the target markets.
Maybe so, if it’s a One Piece like RU handed out at a couple of games. I had never heard of them before and they’re not college sports related. College b-ball trading cards have never ever been popular or for that matter sold to my knowledge. They are a VERY big thing
These cards are a product from a company called Athletes Thread, which does a lot in the NIL space with student-athletes. They recently started implementing trading cards company-wide, but now that this branch of their company is up and running, they intend to implement them for all their partner schools earlier in the season next year.Should have been available in Nov.
I still have some packs from the 80's with gum inside. Unopeneddo the SHU card come with a stick of gum ??
Big thing on YouTube these days, guys opening packs of cards dating back to 70s, 80s & 90s. Some actually eat the 40 year old gum.I still have some packs from the 80's with gum inside. Unopened
We had hoped these cards would have come out right around New Years. But with a new company it's not surprising that timeline was not met. These cards are a product from a company called Athletes Thread, which does a lot in the NIL space with student-athletes. Go on EBay and type in Bowman U basketball and you'll see some big prices for college basketball cards that have been around for a few years. Or better yet, type in "champions deck" which is the line these cards are under. Many other big time college programs are using this same company - UConn, Purdue, Kentucky, etc. And some of them are going for decent $$$.Maybe so, if it’s a One Piece like RU handed out at a couple of games. I had never heard of them before and they’re not college sports related. College b-ball trading cards have never ever been popular or for that matter sold to my knowledge.
Pro baseball, football & basketball were sold for decades, not so much now. (I bought them as a kid as did my sons.) Wait - college
b-ball is now semi-pro so maybe those cards will be popular if all the D-1 teams get involved and sell them like the real pros used too - by the box or with a stick of gum.
