It's been pretty much confirmed who Ren and Rey are/related to. There's an image floating out there that pretty much lays out Kylo's backstory and what happens to Luke and why there are no Jedi running around post RoTJ.

Murderer of Crows, I didn't read your post, but I'm checking out of this thread for the week. FYI, this forum does have spoiler tags. I'll catch you guys at the end of the week. I hope everyone enjoys the film.
All you need to know is on twitter Patton Oswalt started off by saying "JJ did it!"
Some may love it, like it or think its not up to their standards but if super nerd Patton loves it, its a great sign.
Also right now out of the premiere the vast majority loved the movie.

I'm out until saturday as well. I know most of us can keep from posting spoilers but just in case there is one random a hole that just wants to swoop in here and take a dump.... better be safe and just ignore all star wars talk for a few more days.

Thanks for at least doing the spoiler tag proper. No way am I going to read any movie spoilers no matter how bad I want to read them. I wanna go in as fresh as possible. I'd like to see this thread refrain from any movie plot points until after the weekend. Give us all a chance to see the movie first then talk about it.
Ok couldn't wait any longer bought my ticket for tomorrow night. Wanted to wait till the crowds died down but my fear of learning the plot kicked in and I bought my ticket.
I did the same thing.... still have my tickets for Saturday but I'm going to suffer through a huge crowd tomorrow night to see the movie..... only thing left open is 3D but I get to see it in Imax on Saturday so its all good. I mean I plan on seeing it at least 4 times anyways.

What's weird is even though it's hovering around 95% on RT, the reviews.. really aren't that good. I think it's in part because this movie is just so hyped, that everyone seems to be getting let down, despite thoroughly enjoying the film.

Meh, I'd rather spend my money on The Revenant. I'll catch Star Wars later on. No way I'm cramming into a theater with those people..

Amazing what a clear concise story can do to a movie franchise that so desperately needed one.
Awesome movie. definitely going to see 3 more times before next weekend.
Just a fair warning to everyone, just expect questions to not be answered until episode 8. Its itching inside my skull right now but I know several of the questions will be answered in Episode 8 here in 18 months. Still a damn good movie.
