This is a 16-3, 6-2 2nd place big east team, w top 25 wins over uconn and st johns if we just hit our free throws. Not to mention the layups and 2 footers. Just that could mask a bad offense. When ur this bad on offense youve gotta make your free throws at a better clip.

To the plus side, yes. Creighton, Marquette, and Providence could make similar claims as those games could’ve gone the other way easily.
With how badly we struggle offensively, this is simply who we are. The defense and pressure keeps us competitive, the offense prevents us from going to the plus side usually.
We can play with anyone on the schedule and cause them issues. That’s reassuring. But we’re not good enough all around to be above the fray. So every game is a pressure cooker bc we cannot score: layups, putbacks, fast breaks, open 3’s, doesn’t matter, all is a struggle.

I mean, this is also an 11-8 (1-7) team if not for three miracle comebacks against Marquette, Creighton, and Georgetown. The record is what it is and the margins are indeed that thin, win or lose.
