Speak for yourself when you post lists of guys that are almost universally transferring down for more PT to support your argument that the big schools are going to use NIL to raid the best players in the country from other schools.

Here is an example of what the portal is doing to the non blue bloods of the world

@WVUALLEN
@Rootmaster

So their coach leaves for more money and they are expected to stick around and play in a band box?

I love that you bring this up because this is precisely the situation of why free transfers and NIL are good. Kids from a nothing school create an amazing story off of their own play, and the kids atleast get to pull a few bucks and create an opportunity to get noticed by bigger programs rather than the old way where the coach bails and you never hear from the kids who created that coach’s opportunity again.

Lol literally every player you cited from Cincy FB either didn’t play, or played very sparingly. Same thing with the list of Villanova basketball players. You are an absolute clown, try putting in the 5 minutes to Google the **** you are posting before you come here rock hard ready to prove a point that doesn’t exist.

The guy we picked up from cincy has 4 years remaining. He isn't moving down he's moving up. Most of the guys at cincy that are entering the portal are trying to cash in on cincy's current success. The guys you like to tout from cincy that went to the combine would be in the transfer portal now if they weren't eligible for the draft. Just because cincy has had a couple of good seasons playing a weak schedule doesn't make them a desirable program. Those players are doing the same thing the saint peters basketball team is doing trying to move up the food chain. They would have left even if the coach had stayed. Btw how many major bowl games has cincy won in the last 20 years?

So this guy, who is from WV BTW, had an offer originally from WVU and chose UC out of high school, and didn’t see the field at all last year for Cincy’s CFP team. According to you he is riding the success of a team he didn’t actually contribute to, and is now transferring “up” to a school that went 6-7 last year, presently projects to finish near the basement of its conference, even though the school he went “up” to offered him out of high school. Lmao again, please Google before you come in half cocked and make yourself look like a fool. You are also aware that Cincy finished in the top 10 the year prior to last year right? How about the fact that Desmond Ridder was a 4 year starter who could have been thrown a NIL bag from bigger programs like the French bitches waving white flags in this thread all fear will happen if we get good again?

As for St. Peter’s, they are a nothing school playing in a high school sized gym who’s coach rightly used them as a stepping stone, and St. Peter’s stands to profit nicely from a minimal investment in its hoops program from a fluke run they couldn’t have imagined in their lifetimes. So everyone gets to leave happy except the players who did the actual on court work? There is also no guarantee they get scooped up by anyone of note, or if NIL will be a factor (gonna be tough for someone to match the $30k Edert got by becoming America’s darling for 2 weeks), I would expect coaches to look closely into the “why” these kids were a 15 seed rather than simply be mesmerized by 2 good weeks of basketball and give them roster spots on P5 teams.

Doug transfers to Bryant… burn it down

We didn't get Doug from the Saint Peter's Fighting Dougs!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I'd have been more excited for Doug than the South Carolina guy who looks on paper to be a McNeil light. Maybe I'm wrong and this SC guy has a great season with WVU, but I'm not optimistic with Huggins prior transfers not being more than role players with the exception of maybe Jaysean Paige.
