This one could get ugly. Both team are trending in different directions at this point. The only way I see it relatively close is if SJU takes us lightly.

I think that Sha + company will break recent form and NOT fall behind in the latter part of 1st half and early 2nd. BUT.... will fall in a close one..... Pirates fall short..... 70 - 65.

Agree, Dan. We are trending down, while Johnnie's looking like the top 10 team folks predicted. We need to find a consistent inside and perimeter game. Lately, we have neither. We've won with a rag tag defense and come-from-behind heroics that won't cut it anymore. Didn't work vs Butler at home, a team not predicted for the tourney. We keep this up and we won't be an NIT team.

St. John's 75, Seton Hall 65.

Impossible to know which Seton Hall offense shows up? SJU is not the greatest team ever.

St Johns is #2 in scoring in the BE at 86 per game and #3 in 3 pointer %. SHU is dead last in both categories. They are pretty much even in rebounding and defense. Free throw shooting is even.

So my picks based on stats St John 80 SHU 68.

This is a really interesting game. SHU at a cross roads and getting near desperation.

St. John’s seems to have hit their stride.

I do think SHU plays better away from home.

I think it’s going to be a very tight one.

This one feels like we are going to get crushed. We're struggling and very little practice time to regroup. I think we lose big and hit bottom, then start to rebuild going forward.

Sure wish they proved me wrong, but they did show they were the better team for 30 minutes...... just not the last 10 minutes. It was a good rock 'em sock 'em Big East game with all the players from both teams seemingly "dialed in". Pirates didn't play well with the lead. We've got things to work on but all is not lost. Credit St John's though, they exceeded our intensity those last 10 minutes and prevailed.........by the skin of their noses.

When will we put a complete 40 minutes together????? Perfect time to do it is Saturday.
