Yes, but he was and has been a huge disappointment. His midrange is awful

His shooting has been awful the last few games. I am really getting concerned about this. However, he is so good that despite that the team is so much better with him on the floor. I am not sure of another player who can stink it up consistently shooting and still be a big positive on the court as a point guard.
If you make it you can set the press up (which won us the game btw) and Creighton still had a timeout so if he misses they’re getting the rebound and instantly calling a timeout anyway. Might as well make it.
Holloway did the right thing at games end on the side inbound play. He had a big in the game but he also stationed him so he would allow a backcourt pass but not a forward pass.

Yeah, it was worth a quick conversation, but there’s no doubt the correct decision was made — and not just due to the benefit of hindsight.

he caused two jump balls in ten do or die seconds. incredible and as important as anything else that happened. he didnt shoot well, but he played well.

I agree. I would have missed the shot too. Creighton was going to shoot a 3 anyway so the clock and not the opponent is the enemy.
If Creighton gets the rebound there might not have been any time left. And if there was it would have been a fraction of a second. So even with them calling a timeout I don't think the extra point would have mattered.
Now if this was the NBA or women's BB then no you make the shot because in both cases after calling a timeout the ball moves all the way down the court to be inbounded.

Wow. Really strange take. His shot has been off. But this team is nowhere without him.
He makes the most NIL on the team, averaged 19 & 6 last year, he’s not sniffing those numbers, his mid range was supposedly amazing and it’s been the complete opposite

Agree. He’s also still adjusting to the BE physical style of play and better athletes than what he faced at Merrimack. He’s gonna be just fine and consistently has the best or second best plus/minus on the team. He’s gonna just get better. At the same time he’s facing excellent coaches who know how to defend him. We are lucky to have him.
The clock would not start until creighton grabs the rebound and they would call a timeout instantaneously, maybe .01 comes off the clock. And then you’re in a position where creighton has the ball where a two wins the game instead of tie.
I'll take any point guard who can stink it up consistently like Budd.
