Last month, Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage four-star cornerback <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/gregory-thomas-180647/">Gregory Thomas</a> made his way to <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/clemson-tigers/">Clemson</a> to visit <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/coach/dabo-swinney-131248/">Dabo Swinney</a> and the Tigers.



The trip resulted in an offer for the 6-foot-2, 185-pounder. The Tigers continue to establish their presence in what looks to be an ACC battle, as Thomas announced on Saturday that he’s locked in an official visit for May 31-June 2.

“My visit was great,” <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/clemson-tigers/news/4-star-cb-gregory-thomas-picks-up-clemson-offer-on-visit/">he told On3’s Steve Wiltfong after tripping in April</a>. “I loved the town and coaches and everything. I think the thing that stood out the most was the hospitality and how much of a priority the coaches told me I was.



“They aren’t a school that goes out and gets 100 kids, They selectively choose and build with what they have. Which is something I like. I love the culture they have as well.”



Clemson joins <a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/florida-state-seminoles/">Florida State</a> as programs to lock in OVs with Thomas. The Seminoles have been a major player for the in-state defensive back and are currently trending heavily for his commitment in the <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/gregory-thomas-180647/recruiting/194746/rpm/">On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM)</a>. <a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/miami-hurricanes/">Miami</a> is also in the mix for the blue-chipper.



“It was a great visit … it was good seeing the practice environment and seeing how the coaches are and how the practices are run,” <a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/florida-state-seminoles/news/legacy-weekend-insider-florida-state-makes-big-impression-on-top-prospects/">Thomas told Warchant after visiting FSU in March</a>. “It was good, and I liked what I saw.”



Thomas is the No. 269 overall prospect and No. 26 CB in the 2025 cycle, according to the <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/rankings/industry-player/football/2025/">On3 Industry Ranking</a>, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 41 player in Florida.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-clemson-class-breakdown">Clemson Class Breakdown</h2>



Clemson’s 11-man class ranks No. 4 in the nation and consists of 10 blue-chip prospects, including the nation’s No. 28 recruit in Norfolk (Va.) Maury four-star EDGE <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/ari-watford-150140/">Ari Watford</a>. Watford pledged to the Tigers near the end of January.



“Clemson is a very unique place,” Watford told On3. “The people there and the family-oriented culture Coach Swinney has built stood out to me. People go to Clemson go for the right reasons and that’s something I’ve wanted to be a part of growing up.”



Nine additional four-star recruits are committed to the Tigers, including: Durham (N.C.) Southern defensive lineman <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/isaiah-campbell-157320/">Isaiah Campbell</a>, Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy running back <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/gideon-davidson-150212/">Gideon Davidson</a>, Lake City (S.C.) South Florence defensive lineman <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/amare-adams-156196/">Amare Adams</a>, Buford (Ga.) offensive tackle <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/brayden-jacobs-152829/">Brayden Jacobs</a>, Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic quarterback <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/blake-hebert-156020/">Blake Hebert</a>, Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy interior offensive lineman <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/easton-ware-179711/">Easton Ware</a> and Savannah (Ga.) Christian Prep tight end <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/logan-brooking-163094/">Logan Brooking</a>.



Anderson (S.C.) Belton-Honea Path three-star running back <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/marquise-henderson-158858/">Marquise Henderson</a>, Woodbridge (Va.) Freedom three-star wide receiver <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/carleton-preston-153861/">Carleton Preston</a> and Cedartown (Ga.) four-star corner <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/tae-harris-235777/">Tae Harris</a> have each joined the class since December.
