Three-Star PF Dylan Grant commits to Rutgers
Warren (Mich.) Michigan Collegiate three-star power forward Dylan Grant has announced his commitment to Rutgers.
The 6-foot-7, 205-pound rising senior chose the Scarlet Knights over Loyola-Chicago, DePaul, Cincinnati, and others.
He becomes the fourth prospect in the 2024 cycle to commit to Steve Pikiell, joining five-star small forward Ace Bailey (No. 3 overall), three-star power forward Lathan Sommerville (No. 121), and three-star small forward Bryce Dortch (No. 152). Rutgers is also targeting five-star guard Dylan Harper (No. 2).
Grant spoke to On3 about his decision to choose Rutgers.
“I loved the vibe! Playing in the Big 10 has always been a dream of mine. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to learn from the experienced coaching staff at Rutgers. Coach (Steve) Pikiell brings a wealth of knowledge in the game of basketball. I see their vision and I believe in it.”

In his own words, what type of player is Rutgers getting in Dylan Grant?
“I am a versatile player that is able to guard various positions. I don’t shy away from hard work and my athletism has proven to be an asset on the court. Offensively, I like to take it downhill off the dribble and to the rim or stretch the floor for a shot.”
He has a message for the fanbase.
“Scarlet Knights! Tune in. Looking forward to packing the stands of Jersey Mike’s Arena. Let’s be great!”
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Grant is the No. 213 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. He’s also the No. 51 power forward prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
