I’d probably quit worrying about rankings. King loves Alabama- life-long fan, but he didn’t get the amount of attention that Meredith, Darrius White, or a few others have received from the staff. Coach Mo had never even met King until he visited in early March. King also views himself as a pure corner. Alabama did not. So to say he was the ‘best CB’ they were in contention for is wrong, based who they have on their CB target board–Not where Rivals, 247 or anyone has him ranked. I think he’s a good player and thought Bama should have made a stronger push. Maybe they will down the road. We’ll see. But it’s all about who they choose to pursue and who they are willing to wait for, even if it’s a no, before going down the list.
