I guess you didn't see what Candace said.

Bullish in this case. It’s only year two and they have a great recruiting class coming in. While I am not optimistic that it’s going to work out with Caldwell, Danny White being on his position will and should give her next season to right the ship.

She needs to keep the 5 freshmen to go along with the 2 incoming players.

I mean DW hired an experiment to coach the most prestigious WBB job in the country. What makes anyone think he has the balls to fire her or the confidence to make the correct hire, if he does fire her.

She needs at least one more year.

So there’s only 3 coaches on the planet that can coach at a championship level? What does TN not have that the top teams do other than a proven coach?

I think they should move on because I think we all know the inevitable BUT I would be fine with giving her year 3 to right the ship unless she misses the tournament. Then you have to fire her. This program has never missed one. Its a fireable offense.

Noone with a brain is gonna listen to Jackson. Noone important is gonna listen to the others unless the results aren't there. Kim will be the coach next year. After that who knows?

In the latest bracketology update, they were a 6-seed. The SEC Now crew last night doesn't think they'll miss it.

The 5 freshmen are pretty good and then the No. 2 player in the country that's coming in is the real deal.

Exactly zero people think that. Everybody knows it's different. But it's basically the same landscape in the fact that only about a half dozen programs/teams have a realistic shot to win a national championship. And we all know who those half dozen teams are. Women's college basketball does not have the parity anywhere close to the men's game, and it most likely never will. Yes, there are more programs who take the sport seriously now and devote more resources to it. But there are still not enough programs who take it seriously enough to create widespread parity. Watch the tournament next month. With the exception of a select few games, it will be mostly chalk. Without even seeing the bracket, you can already pencil in UConn and South Carolina in the Final Four. Texas and UCLA will likely be the other two teams. I would say at least one of the two will be in it, and maybe the fourth team will be from the second tier (i.e., No. 2 seeds). But it won't a real surprise either way.

When it comes to “What Would Coach Summit Do” I ride with Candace. She is the one person that I see in this situation that is standing up for both the program’s proud history and its future. Candace embodies the spirit of Coach Summit more than anyone that I know of associated with the program. So I’m with Candace. She reportedly backs her support with NIL donations too. Basilio says that she is responsible for getting that top recruit coming in next season.
